    Why are you here?

Logged into this page years later to find a recent comment on old work. That was a surprise. Who else is around?

    Ink On Life's Paper

[Note: ch3 of It's Not You They Fear has been edited and updated. 'Bout darn time.]

So I was gonna write some deep post about silver linings in pain and training hard for your struggles, but I realized the struggle for today was finishing those edits. Check it out if you have the time and boredom to do it. And here is an adorable picture of Luna in case you need to smile.

    Resurgence

Looking at the timestamps, it seems it's been nearly three months since I last posted on here. Life still has water on the ground and running down the sides of the streets, but the sun is shining once again.

    Forever and A Day

Well hello everyone, it sure has been a while. While I've put out a new chapter of The Long Road Home, this place hasn't seen a lot of other attention. I've been very busy trying not to leave any free time at all in my life to think.

    Steps

Once upon a time, a man much wiser than myself told me something. He said: 'We are what we do. The only difference between a writer and myself is that the writer picked up a pen or pulled up a keyboard, and wrote something.' I suppose that makes me many things. One of the easiest for me to see is running until I became a runner.

Ok, forgive the ranting if you saw the earlier post. I've been trying to get the blog here to work for about a week, with a void error whenever I tried to post. Yippee.

Anyways, so here is a long-overdue hello after the cons. Yes, that's a plural. FOBCON was a thing, and those of you that were there will treasure the shenanigans for a long time afterwords. I know I will; it's the first time I've ever broken a guitar. Thankfully, there is no better way to break an acoustic/electric than by dropping it firmly on the battery and pickup housing. That will just take a replacement part (fifteen bucks, but it has to ship from Canada...) and the only difference will be some body scuffing. Cool people say that the instrument has 'character'.

Bronycon was outright fantastic, and playing with Worst Princess was more fun than I possibly could have imagined. As our frontman finishes polishing up the videos, I'll link them here for anyone interested. Babysitting people walking around, airport bussing, and the concert took up most of my time, so I only attended one panel -- 'Wondering About the Wonderbolts'. That was generally tomfoolery, which I think everyone could appreciate. If anyone has the full video of the panel, please drop me the link. Also, I'd like to drop a shoutout to Sparkinator for saying hi at the con -- always makes me smile, ah heck, makes me full-on squee to meet someone who likes my work.

Now, for practical stuff: TLRH Chapter 9 is in editing right now. We'll get it done when it gets done. Also, if you have a dumb military story you want me to put into FUUO, please holler.

One last thing.

I'm going to be piecing myself back together for a while. Nor can I really force every part of my heart, mind and subconscious to accept that she's gone.
