I've read some good fics recently. You should read them too.
My Little Dashie
A depressed young man living in a run-down city finds something that makes his life worth living. Short, and quite sad, though not (IMO) to the degree that the comments would have you believe.
Raiders of the Cutie Mark
The CMCs embark on an adventure to find the fabled Holy Oat Pail of the Colts Templar. Doesn't take itself too seriously, and portrays the CMCs fairly well. Some would say that the twist is really obvious, and I agree with that, but I don't think it detracts from the story. Also, the multiple endings idea is an interesting one.
My fic (Long Distance) updated recently too! Chapter Four is here, so do give that a read, if you want. It's nearly 25K words right now. That's about as long as George Orwell's Animal Farm (and Raiders of the Cutie Mark, funnily enough). And to think, I've barely even started!
EDIT: Forgot to tell you to listen to this new song by WoodenToaster. It's amazing.
