Hello, everypony~!
It looks like this time I might be back for good. No longer is my mind devoured by the inescapable urge to consume as much fanfics about wizards as possible. Instead, I find myself gravitating back to my trusted ol' laptop and my brain is being poked demandingly by the Spirit of Chaos himself. Seems like there is still hope for me yet 
And I bring offerings too.
So I was sick last week and spent my time watching cartoons, including All Hail King Julien (a Netflix original cartoon about that wacky lemur from the Madagascar movies). I'm really into that series, and the theme song (both the short version from the cartoon and the longer version) is my current jam. Aaaand it's a perfect Discord song too, in my opinion and interpretation~! It inspired me into creating this short PMV. Feel free to watch it now that I'm dangling it under your nose in a semi-demanding manner 
Next in the order of business is a few selfies with fancy hats 
I occasionally work in a gift and hat shop, and I spent the last couple of days keeping the shop open while the owner was having a mini vacation. However, today it was rather deserted there so after I was done doing all the useful when-the-customers-are-away activities I could think of, I found myself staring at the berets and contemplating if I can wear one and look like all the cartoon characters do instead of how the grandmas who usually wear them look. It... escalated from there.

Turns out, I can totally wear it like a cartoon character and look good while doing so. Added a flower to it though, cos it looked too bare for my taste.

There were lots of this sort around, so I just picked one that's my colour and pretty. Not really my style of hat, but I wear it like a boss anyway.

I actually wore this combination (the hat and the flower) the other summer too, when I was working in the shop and there was this outdoors market thingy. I loved it then and I still do. I suppose I need to buy them when I stop by again on Monday to return the key to the shop. I mean, I only have two summertastic hats right now (a sparkly purple stetson [the one at the beginning of the video, although I've added a purple bead band around the top and a little blue wind wheel to the side and should fix my logo] and a purple cap-ish [short visor] thingy), so no reason why I can't have a third one.
Though really, I'd need a spring/fall hat more than that. I only have one; although the one I have is really swagnificent so any companion for it would have a lot to live up to. ... black deep bowler hat with a purple ribbon, steampunk-ish goggles, and a Green League badge. Awesomesauce 
Yes well, now that there's summer and spring/fall, might as well talk about winter headwear too for the sake of fairness. I have a handknitted and washing machine felted purple winter cap with a fairly large heart shaped felted pin (that I made myself, so it has my colours, patterns and bling preferences) (regretting the heart shape though, shoulda made a star). I also have purple earmuffs that have cat ears on top and bling swirls on the sides (it's also handmade, though only the swirls and blings by me).
... I like hats

I liked the PMV as well, I can see a Discord/Julien comparison. Is the Netflix show good? I used to watch Penguins of Madagascar and he was fun on there (disappointed the PoM didn't follow the show's canon).

Yes, the show is awesome! I personally haven't watched PoM because I don't really care a whole lot for the penguins (not to say I dislike them, just don't find them interesting) and because the rendering looks awful from the things I have seen around. I mean, the lemurs seem to have smooth skin instead of having any hair, and everyone's faces look just ridiculous. So yeah, although I think I may at some point make a list of which episodes have the lemurs in them and try to tolerate the awful look for the sake of watching them be funny. But so far I've avoided it.
All Hail King Julien though. It looks very pretty. Not quite as detailed as the movies, but not bad at all. And King Julien himself is just too freaking adorable (and kinda hot in my opinion. Unf, his face~<3) that I could spend all day just watching him do whatever. Heh, the show is wacky funny too, AND portrays him as a way better king than the movies do. Not perfect, but somehow good anyway where it counts.
Also, the show's timeline happens before the movies, so it doesn't break the canon all that much. Only a few insignificant details, like the one line in the movies where he was said to be "the self-declared king of the lemurs", while in the show he is actually crowned with everyone's consent and with everyone having been aware that this might eventually happen if the previous king died or something. That's pretty much the biggest continuity error there is, so that's really good.
... my love for the show might just show a little bit here with that TL;DR explanation
