Con is over with, phew. Didn't go too well actually, but eh, got some money anyway so that's good enough. At least the con was local so I didn't have travel fees or lodging costs or anything of the sort. Just wasting a bit of time. What made me happy though is that my brand new product was well received~
Now the next thing is my niece's naming party, which on the other hand requires travelling. I'll be leaving tomorrow, and be back on Wednesday. After that I'll be stress-free for a while, woot! I'll have actual work for half of December though, so the normalcy will be temporary. But at the very least I won't have any actual tasks on my To Do list, just going to work on mornings and staying there for some hours before getting back home and not having to worry about it too much. I can handle that, easy-peacy.
I've been playing Pillars of Eternity during my skyping hours since the con (I completely deserve it after two months of constant work and pressure, so I don't even feel guilty about ignoring people). It's basically AWESOME! I mean, there are some things I miss about Baldur's Gate (like pickpocketing. Come on! Why can't my rogue-main-chara rob people senseless??), but there are also things that are better. Definitely my game, this one~
I suppose the bottom line is that I'm not dead, and I'll probably start skypeing a bit more after I come back from my sister's.
TL;DR: Con sucked a bit, there's a 6-day trip in the near future (spoilers: tomorrow), Pillars of Eternity is an awesome game, and Jade is under the delusion that she'll sacrifice her gaming time in favour of being social when she returns from the trip.
