dont play MMOs, Fallout ( don't make me choose one), Halo (its one of the first games I played), and my favorite game of all time is dark souls and I have no idea why, probably because I like death having repercussions but them not destroying me.

MMO: Never got the bug for them. I'm not much of a multiplayer person in general, and I don't have the time or money to sink into a decent MMO.

RPG: Oh, I could give you a list, but probably my favorite are Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Both of them always know how to make their worlds feel expansive and alive. Bioware games are probably a close silver, as they focus much closer on giving a better overall narrative to the game, and narrative is my hot button.

FPS: Far Cry 3. Hands down, Far Cry 3. I love that game with a mighty passion. For me it's the whole package. complex and colorful characters, a tight yet deeply thematic story, a compelling world filled with fine tuned mechanics, and an amazing amount of detail to the visuals and graphics. Far Cry 3 is probably my favorite game, even if the honor of the objectively best game I've ever played is...

TPS: Spec Ops: The Line. This game is my defense when people ask me for an example of how video games are art. This game was not only one of the most expertly crafted narratives I've ever seen- in video games or other media- but it also is one of a very few number of games to get me on an emotional level and stick in my thoughts with its themes and questions days after playing it.
