Love it when I get a downvote, not. · 5:26pm Aug 1st, 2015
I don't mind a down vote, but if you have the time to downvote, at least tell me what you don't like about the story.
Having the power to judge a story is the difference if my story gets read and if I improve as an author.
Don't be afraid to be blunt, either, that's what I want.
Downvoting and moving on is heartbreaking, because it's just silent judgement.
Seeing my stories or anyone else's story be worked on very hard, time and effort spent into a chapter or story, only for it to be up for an entire morning and get down voted without criticism is very discouraging. It's like taking your time and effort into something that takes an entire portion of your day dedicated to that one special hobby, only for it to be judged negatively and silently.
Listen: I'm not afraid of criticism. I want criticism. Don't be afraid to tell me what you like, what you don't like. What I can change, or even bashing my story. I read every comment that I get.
I don't mind.
Because positive, negative, neutral, etc reviews are what makes Authors better.
