I'm Back (Kinda Sorta) · 7:33pm Jul 28th, 2015

I'm staying with family until Monday so although I'll technically have reliable Internet access, I'll have to be "social" and not spend much time on my laptop/phone.

Anyway, here are some random pictures from my couple of days in the Lake District.

Here's some ponies I spotted. They're kinda far away. There are supposedly wild ponies in the area, but these ones are not wild.

This is the view towards Yorkshire. You can see Yorkshire on a clear day, but it was rainy.

This is a tin of mints that I purchased. I would have preferred OMFC, but they didn't have that.

And lastly, here is Windermere, the largest lake in England. It's a long, thin lake, formed by a glacier. It's 18 km long, and 1.5 km wide at its widest point. The deepest bit is 67 m deep. It contains 18 islands. I went on a boat trip on it. There are ducks that live there — from the picture you can tell there must be at least ten of them.

Beautiful pictures

When is it not rainy day in the British countryside? :rainbowlaugh: Going to Cardiff for a week in a few days so that's oddly convenient too. :derpytongue2:

British accents sound weird to me. But that's not the point. Be more social with your family, bubby!

I live in the South-East, so I'm unaccustomed to rain. :twilightsheepish:

I'm in the same room as them right now. What more can they ask for?
