So I said that I do one of these review things over each story, and I guess that means the smaller stories as well. I hope you enjoy!
Side Note: The name of the story meant something when i first thought of the idea, but by the time I was done it meant nothing. I kept it because I'm not creative and can't think of new names.
First, I want to say that this is in no way my best work and I wish I had more time to refine it. That being said, I won't edit it because it was my small present to a friend, and if he's alright with how it turned out, that's fine by me. Now that that's off my chest, I want to say that this story was a bit of a pain to write for a few reasons.
My keyboard is having problems with the letter 'h' right now, so I had to switch that out in a hurry, and fix whatever mistakes I hadn't fixed earlier. Secondly, I had no idea where the story was going about 400 words in. No kidding, I really have no clue what was going on even after I finished.
Next, I think it ended up pretty garbage, imo. If it wasn't my friend's birthday, it would've stayed in my graveyard list for ages before I thought about it again. Seriously, I have a list of story ideas that were partly written before forgotten. It's about 40 stories deep at the time of this writing. My friend thought the story was alright, but I'm sure he was just sparing my feelings.
I was informed of his birthday about 1:30 in the morning by Skype, and I woke myself up around 7 so I could get everything set and written by 5. It was approved a little later, and he read it some time in the night. (If anyone was wondering, i was listening to 'Party By Myself' by Hollywood Undead while I wrote it.)
Finally, I was surprised that it wasn't immediately downvoted into the hall of failure. It had a 0-0 like-dislike ratio the next morning, and that was more than enough for me. In the end it had 3 likes, to which I will just sit here and rub my hands together while I ponder what a like is worth nowadays. Still, I'm glad some people thought it was worth pressing a green button instead of the red one, or their just colorblind. Or, you know what? They coulda been blind if they thought my story was worth that button push.
Why are you still here? Nobody reads these things. Maybe Vidal does... Nah.
Thanks for Reading though!
