Now, if you read these things, you'll remember that just before my mother passed, I had been working on a short one-shot story that was mainly a way for me to breakout of my funk. It's almost finished; however, it's a 4th of July special. Should I continue on with it and post it late anyway, or should I wait until next year and post it at a more appropriate date?
Well, as readers of my stories, would you rather I crank this one out first and get it over with, then begin work on my ongoing stories, or would you rather wait an entire full year for a new story while I complete these. Bonus choice: I've been meaning to rewrite my older Twixie stories, kinda' like a reboot. Would you be more interested in that?
Eh, not from USA so 4-th July means literally nothing to me... That being said, just do what you think is better =P

As a U.S. citizen who doesn't care about the U.S., I honestly don't care if its late. If you really want to release it, then just do so I guess.

Well, I'd say go for it and post it now cuz I doubt all that many people will care about it being late anyways... It's not even directly connected with the celebration since it tells about a fictional holiday rather than the actual one =\
Also, haven't read any of your Trixie stories since she's not on my "favorite list", sorry =P

3276644 I know very little about computers, as we've spoken about before. Lol. My manufacturer refurbished Toshiba Satellite came with a lot of useless crap that was both bogging down my computer and hiding a Trojan somewhere. I got rid of the Trojan, I believe, though it's hard to determine that without my browsers. I was being careful, but I may have uninstalled something vital in my programs.
I don't know anything about proxy servers.
3276696 well, my computer savvy friend, do you have any suggestions? My laptop isn't recognizing ANY wireless connection, as if it were a desktop, then it's giving me this proxy server bull crap when I connect it to my modem via Ethernet.
3276732 Yeah, when I connect via Ethernet, both Firefox and internet explorer give me an error message concerning proxy servers. I have almost nothing on this laptop, because it's so new, and I'd happily wipe it and start over. Unfortunately, however, it didn't come with the installation disk. I still have the installation disk from my last laptop. Do you think it would work? Both run off of windows 8.1, though the Toshiba was set to upgrade to windows 10 when it becomes available in the near future.

3276895 To my surprise, I came home today to find that the wireless connectivity issue had somehow resolved itself, but I still had both my browsers set up to run off proxy servers. Well, I managed to fix those using that link you sent me, so THANK YOU!

For whatever reason, as soon as I set Firefox as my default browser, I get like 5 pop-ups on every page, so it looks like I'll have to use explorer on this one, because fuck Chrome.
3276895 The only thing I did differently was let the thing die instead of manually turning it off or putting it on sleep mode. I fell to sleep trying to fix it last night.
3278243 I'm a fan of google, but not chrome. Well, my wireless capabilities seem to be finicky at best, so now my desk is in my living room with my modem. It's unfortunate, (mostly because my desk is a piece of shit I never use) but it won't kill me, I suppose. It's just annoying that I bought a laptop and got a desktop. So far, I'm regretting getting this thing. Next time, I'll just get an Alienware. I don't need all that space or RAM, but I know I'll be paying for a quality product.
