    Grimwall

I've been writing something in my free time, inspired by the setting of World of Darkness and games like Kingdom Come Deliverance. The setting I've made, Grimwall, is a version of Equestria where the country is a HRE styled empire, where Celestia rules from Canterlot, and the other nobles each rule the other kingdoms inside the empire. Taking the inspirations from darker and grittier settings,

    An Explanation of Events

For about half a year, I was going through what was perhaps the worst time of my life. I lived in a squalor, had a horrible job, barely ate, was sick, and felt every day like I should have ended it. I couldn't operate, or function. Now, I'm in a new house, got a raise, and am living better. I feel...happy? First time I've felt it in a long time. I don't know how many of you are still there, or

Something Embarrassing · 10:59am Jul 25th, 2015

We've all had embarrassing moments in our lives. Today though I want to focus on ones in video games.

As many of you know I'm a HUGE fan of Fallout, but I wasn't always.

Nope, I wasn't always the Enclave killing, Deathclaw destroying, Rad Roach mini-nuking, stallion you all know. I've had some pretty bad moments, but here's one that takes the cake.

It was my first time playing, and I was nervous. I played Oblivion and bought Fallout 3 because the same company made it. I knew it was different, but after starting it, it actually scared me a bit. The dark and bleak world of Postapocalyptia was more than I was ready for. However I (not so bravely) passed right by Megaton and immediately walked to the shore line. I was greeted by this.

This handsome bastard scared the ever living fuck out of me. While fumbling with the controller and not even noticing the "Here's how to use VATS" flashing in the top corner I opened my Pip-boy to see what I could do.

I dropped my pistol.

That's right, I managed to -in my panic- drop my 10mm pistol, which then preceded to slide down the hill past the Mirelurk. The Mirelurk then taught me to learn how shit works before leaving the vault by murdering me while I flailed my useless fists at it and searched for my gun.

How about you all? Any particularly embarrassing moments in some of your favorite games?:rainbowlaugh:

It only gets worse from there. :trollestia:

Blame FourPony.

3268080 Yikes, I don't want to know, but I bet it's cringe worthy.:rainbowlaugh:

Shit happens I guess. :rainbowlaugh: Now let me pick my brain...

I wouldn't really call this embarrassing (to me), but its the funniest thing I can remember from recent years.
So me and my friend are playing Team Fortress 2 on the Dustbowl map and it's the last area with us on the Red team. I was running around the corner from the first control point to come across a fuckton of defences like Soldiers and Sentry's, stuff like that. I come running back around the corner and tell my friend behind me to not go around else they'll be killed before he can do anything.

His response? "Oh it'll be fine! There can't be that many?"

He goes around the corner and not two seconds later I hear giant explosions and his death marked at the top of the screen. Before I can say 'told you so' the head of the character he was playing as just slowly rolls from around the corner.

I don't know why I found it so but that scene made me almost piss myself with laughter. Hell I fell off my chair.

3268098 We have all been there my friend.

Played tf2. I forgot which team I was on. This left me spending ten whole minutes attempting to back-stab my team mates.:facehoof:

In a game called Men of War, My cousins and I were playing a free for all match with only tanks. I eventually ran out if points to call in more tanks, and I had one crewman that was still alive after his tank was knocked out, so I just had him go around collecting the pistols and hats/helmets of other dead crewmen. I was trying to get the Soviet pistol before a Sherman blew me to bits.

3268442 Oh my god.:rainbowlaugh:

I play command and conquer 3 with some of my friends. Usually if I'm about to lose I run away with my Construction yard and build tiny little bases everywhere to live a long time.:rainbowlaugh:

3268446 I do something similar to that in a game called Wargame: European Escalation. It's a lot like Ruse, and it's on the same engine, just with Cold War stuff.

I basically order a full retreat into any forests on the map (by that point almost all my tanks are out of fuel and so are my opponents so, so most of the time my tanks don't make it) and I keep my last command jeep guarded by lots of infantry, anti air infantry, and anti-tank infantry. West Germany's Infantry is kind of OP compared to the other nations soooo... The game lasts a long time because they can't get through my defenses. :rainbowlaugh:

Most of the time my enemy and I wear eachother down a lot before I do that, it's usually when all the vehicles are out of fuel and most of the infantry out of ammo. Soldiers needing food too would be kind of cool but that mechanic isn't in the game. :applejackunsure:

3268472 I also remember part of when I played New Vegas for the first time...

3268479 So I started, modeled my character to look like Gordon Freeman, did all that stufff.

I ignore pretty much everything in Goodsprings, other than the shop where I buy assloads of .22Lr and .10mm (I already had a .10mm pistol because I got Ultimate Edition on Steam) I see Primm in the distance and think... "...Is that a fucking roller coaster?"

So naturally I head there, and on the way I find the prison. I decided to go around it, but then I realized I was in a minefield when my legs got blown off (or, "crippled" :ajbemused:)

I just kept going, and I had no medical supplies so I couldn't sew my legs back on. I got to Primm, and stared making my way to the "roller coaster" only to step on another mine. I somehow survived and kept going before getting shot and finally dying.

...:rainbowlaugh:

3268491 I walked out the back way from Goodsprings my first time. The first thing I saw was a Cazador and I proved why I would be dead in the Mohave.

"Looks like a glorified Bloatfly, I can take it with my 9mm."

10 seconds later

"Why didn't I know bright color's meant death!?"

I died.:moustache:

3268522 I hate the combat in the Fallout games. I said that somewhere else once and someone said: "Well if you don't level up your gun skills you won't kill people with headshots."

Which is quite possibly one of the dumbest things ever. When I shoot someone even with .9mm, I expect them to a least acknowledge the fact that they were shot by doing something other than paying no attention to it and keep fighting like nothing happened. I like STALKER's combat waaaay more.

3268569 I love it now, can't wait for four though!:rainbowlaugh:

3268573 I feel like there should be something like this for Fallout:
[youtube=3OzhcC9KCuc]

First time I played fallout 3 I walked passed megaton and got shot in the head by something.
