Fun word, progress. A highly positive connotation. The word itself brings a sense of achievement. You might be wondering, "What sort of progress have you made?". Well I'll tell you! I just quit my job as a car wash Valet.

Alright, enough kidding around. Yes I did really quit that job, and yes it did in fact make me want to beat my head against a wall. Some of my co-workers, my responsibilities when dealing with said co-workers, and the conditions I worked under compounded to the point I wanted to (and have) beat my head against a few walls. And doors. And laundry machines. But mostly a disproportionate amount of steering wheels.
If it wasn't raining and killing any chance of a decent pay-check for me on one week. Then It was a hundred degrees out and I was the only one that could apparently clean towels and drive cars at the same time. Just last week, I went eight days, open to close, no days off and with depressingly short breaks. But I digress, this is about progress, not how happy I am for leaving my now old job.
It's still progress because I have a new job! Soon! And a new home, equally soon! Today, I'm mostly taking it easy, but the next two days is going to boil down to: Trash, Donations, and Packing! Come Tuesday, I'll begin operation: Re-Start. Where in I start moving all my things to my friends place where there's an awesome room cleared out for me. We discussed rent, responsibilities, and conduct. And I can't help but feel I'm getting the better end of the deal.
My new room is a bit bigger than my current one, going from 10x10 to something closer to 12x14 (If my eyeballs aren't dirty little liars...). The room has a connecting hallway that leads to a private bathroom, shower included. So major bonus! Especially since I'll be sharing the house with two women. Nothing too new, and my best friend already visits the place often enough, so it's all good. The extra amenities that I'll be getting include: High strength dedicated internet, A swimming pool/hot tub in the back yard (If I can clean the bugger out), Basic satellite TV (With DVR so I can save my favorite cartoons and shows), And one of my best friends since Highschool living just down the hall!
May have mentioned in my last blog that she's also a fan of my writing, and now my boss. Yepperoni! Come this time next week, I'll have started my full-time employment at my new job. Privately owned by said best friend and her mom. Won't give away all the details on that for personal and obvious reasons. But I will say it's a great step up from my old job in just about every way. Not the least of which will be better defined hours I can work a schedule around.
Anyone care to guess what that means?
I'm Coming back! I can start working on my writing again! I can even start working towards getting some decent equipment for just that. There's a ton of stuff that I've been wanting to do and now I actually can! It'll start with finally pulling A Scratched Record Off of it's Hiatus. As well as getting to work on a few projects with a friend of mine. No spoilers. If I'm doing this, I'm gonna use action over words. Those of you that still peek in on me, thanks for your patience! I hope to add to your numbers in the coming months! So many plans, so many opportunities.

Sweet, welcome back! By the way there are a lot more people submitting stories now a days, so don't be alarmed if your stuff goes unnoticed for a while... it's just how it works now. At least that's what I've noticed.

3251768 If your story has been in the box before, updating usually gets it in. New stories are much tougher now as more and more authors write new stories.
3253226 Yep, lots of new ones! But how many good ones? It seems pre established authors still rule. If anything, it's just made it harder on newer writers. I'm lucky to have the small following I do have.
