Across Equestria in...One Day; My Review of "Party Pooped" · 8:19pm Jun 28th, 2015

Hey, all! Welcome to another review of “My Little Pony”! In this review, I will cover "Party Pooped". As I have discussed before, I will lay out the standards of my reviews. If you just want to skip to the break below, feel free by all means. Here are my standards:
• How in-depth I will go into the episode will vary on the impression it made.
• I may refer to stuff almost related to the show. It depends on what I’m reminded of in the episode.
• Some of the references may be unknown to you guys, so I apologize in advance if anything confuses you. I will do my best to clarify what I mean.
• I will list the pros and cons of each episode and then sum it up.
• The last thing I will do is give the episode one or a mix of the following:
o A letter grade
o A percentage
o A number on a scale of one to ten
• I may skip over select episodes due to a low impression or personal reasons. My apologies in advance to anyone I might offend by skipping over an episode they like.
Please keep this in mind so I don’t have to worry about boring you.
Here’s my review of "Party Pooped"!

At first, I thought I wouldn’t have much to say about this episode like with “Princess Spike”, but I think “Party Pooped” has given me enough to talk about. The first thing I would like to mention is that it’s nice to see Cherry Jubilee return. True, I don’t see “The Last Roundup” often on account of Applejack’s behavior, but it’s great that Cherry is a nice mare. Another thing I would like to point out is the yaks’ behavior. I think they may have a bit of OCD (like yours truly). Whenever things aren’t perfect, they get angry. It reminds me of the Beast’s behavior and honestly, I see some similarities between him and Prince Rutherford. I think I’m going to call him “Prince Beasterford” from now on.
The yaks are sensitive on two levels: perfection and beauty. I liked that they cried during the piano concert. This supports my theory about those who are strong weeping this season. If this continues with the rest of the episodes, then I might not have to mention it every time. I think I should come up with a codeword like with the PYUP principle.
Speaking of which, the PYUP applies to Cadance’s unexpected appearance in this episode. See? This is why I anticipate Discord to show up every time I watch a new episode. As unpredictable as that guy is, you can never tell where or when he’ll pop up!

I can see why Hasbro (or was it the directors?) said that one of the themes for Season 5 is exploring Equestria. Pinkie travels just about halfway across Equestria to retrieve something from Yakyakistan. When she’s a foot from the gates, the cliff breaks, causing her to slide all the way back home. That close, Pinkie! That STINKING close! To be honest, my sister and I were disappointed that we didn’t get to see any of Yakyakistan beyond the gates. I can only guess that it might be somewhat like the land of Odiferous from the Aladdin TV series.
I also liked the part where Pinkie’s friends discover her party-planning cave. It shows that she deeply cares about what goes into a party and making ponies happy. When she’s back at Sugar Cube Corner, praises and comments from her friends make Pinkie realize just how to make the welcoming party perfect. I guess the yaks only want genuineness, not phony stuff. They must have a high moral code about truth.
I would also like to point out that the princesses have been making more appearances now. Cadance is no exception. I think this hints that she might have a baby. Meghan McCarthy gave a strong “maybe” to the question about Cadance and Shining Armor having a foal. Due to the fact that it was the only fan question (in my opinion) that was answered, I think that we may expect the baby to show up either late this season or next season.
There’s one more thing I’d like to say before we get on to the pros and cons. Any stuck-up female bent on keeping up appearances should know what she’s getting into if she dates a yak from Yakyakistan. I certainly don’t want to be in her shoes if her date finds that she’s not as genuine as she lets on.
Pros: The part where the yaks cry is a favorite part of mine. Call me cruel, but I also liked it when Pinkie was sledding backwards to Ponyville, all the while shouting “NOOOOOOOOO!” I got a few giggles from this episode, especially where the girls discover Pinkie’s party-planning cave and also where Pinkie shouts “Curse you, sheep!” I must confess: the yaks, especially the prince, were hot. They made up in appearance what they lacked in anger management.
Cons: Though it doesn’t bother me too much, the yaks’ outbursts were less than satisfactory. The episode overall was fairly predictable. I was waiting for Discord again! I’ve really got to stop doing that.
In Summary: It pulled the PYUP…again! I think I should stop mentioning it because it’s getting to be constant now. The episode shone in some parts, mainly the crying and Pinkie’s journey.
