The Ghost Of Sorcerer Past · 7:46pm Jun 28th, 2015

It just occurred to me. As I was writing Trixieverse 3 I noticed something. Writing was fun again. I was writing what I wanted to write, not what the critics wanted. I was telling the adventures of our favorite showmare again. Which takes me back. Before Nightmare's dastardly fanfics and Viridi's hijinks in Equestria, there was a showmare on a journey to stop an evil doppelgänger from destroying all life as we know it. Then there was a showmare who found herself displaced in some pony else's life.

I had fun writing those fics. I liked writing Trixie. Yes, Bizzaro Tales kind of filled in that gap, but not enough. I missed writing Trixie's adventures. And since Nightmare's Revenge is going to be the last of the trilogy, I feel sad that Trixie has to go. I have to go back to writing crossover fics and use the same cliches over and over again. Not that I don't feel some enjoyment from writing them.

But then I noticed. I'm not TheSorcerersApprentice anymore. I'm Sorcerer. A comedic genius who's forgotten his roots. No more has Wheatley come to visit my avatar, a new OC has taken his place. Where did those days go? When did I change so drastically. When will Trixie smile at me and say "it's been so long"?

That's why I've decided.

I DONT WANT TRIXIE TO GO!

Trixie will always be in my fics no matter what. And do you know something else? I'm planning something very special for the Trixieverse! A new series! It's called "Return To The Trixieverse"! You know the premise of Trixieverse I where Trixie struggles to go through Twilight Sparkle's life? Well I'm going to do that for nearly every episode! So, I guess it's time to go back to my roots. And then let those roots become a beautiful new tree.

:yay: Glad you like writing again!

Kudos to you for coming to that realization, Sorcerer, and I wish you much good fortune and happiness as you write.
