Memento Mori doesn't mean you should just lie down and wait to die. Rather, live each moment like it could be your last, because you never know which breath will be the final one.

Sgt. Pinkie's Lonely Hooves Club Band · 2:53am Jun 28th, 2015

Hello! We hope you will enjoy the show!

... now that I've gotten the obvious Beatles reference out of the way, time to get down to business. First matter of business, new avatar. Yes, I liked the Beatles reference they threw in enough to be willing to change the avatar I've had for nearly half of a year. Hey, it still fits my brassy theme, plus someone was going to use it sooner or later, might as well be a sooner one.

Next up, the whole matter that started this. When Pinkie went voyaging across Equestria, I had to stop and rewind to make sure I was taking this all in. A Beatles reference? The inner band geek in me burst out my chest before I could comprehend it. It does bring up some issues, though. A) How does a band go big then break up over the course of an afternoon? B) How did their hair grow out so quickly? C) Why does Pinkie always end up as the drummer? If you have any answers to this, feel free to leave an answer in the comments.

Now for your enjoyment, Sgt. Pinkie's Lonely Hooves Club Band!

all you're missing now is A Little Help From My Friends

I don't really know why Pinkie Pie gets cast as the drummer. I suspect it might have something to do with Ringo Starr going on to narrate in children's television shows. Case in point, he was the narrator for the first two seasons of Thomas The Tank Engine and the storyteller of Albert's Bad Word in Shelly Do Vale's Bed Time Stories.

3188527 he also wrote some of the Beetles songs that went more towards kids.

3188527 Well, it's the second (third if you count her doing her own rimshots) she's been put as a band's drummer.

3188559 Yeah, like Yellow Submarine and Octopuss' Garden. Yellow Submarine actually got used as the title for an animated movie in early 1968. The Beatles themselves had little to do with it, and only put in a brief cameo towards the very end of the film. It's rather strange, even by 60's animation standards.
