You guys know about furries, right? No?
Well then, I don't know how to really explain it...
Basically, furries are people who enjoy anthropomorphic animals, like dogs and cats and wolves. They make art about the animals, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
It's kinda like the entire brony community...
But what I don't understand is why bronies and furries hate each other for some reason. I was told this around a year ago by my friend, Graymayne, and I still never got why.
I mean, what's to hate, really? We both basically do the exact same stuff.
I could understand if specific people didn't like MLP but did enjoy animals, but the hate is just so weird to me... Why? What is there to really hate?
After a bit of reasoning with myself, I find that we are basically the same kind of fanbase in a way..
I don't understand why some bronies and furries hate each other... but the way I see it, all of us bronies who create art about MLP, fanfictions and other stuff are just a specific kind of furry. We enjoy ponies and their art. Anthropomorphic on occasion.
With furries, aren't you still kind of like us bronies, just not the exact same? So what if the art or fanbases are different. That doesn't make us different from each other. Just our specifics.
I think the hate should stop. There's no reason to continue a pointless fight.

There really isn't a reason to draw lines between the two, but both sides seem to be afraid of being smeared with the negative assumptions people make of the other. Both get called sexual deviants and worse by different groups, so I think they wanted to suffer from their own barbs rather than open themselves up to more. Sort of a 'I'm not with them' thing?
I've always been of the 'live and let live' mindset. No need to work yourself up hating something. If you don't like it, don't follow it. Simple. I'm in both fandoms anyway. Furries can be awesome. Bronies can be awesome. Furry Bronies are awesome cubed.
