So...

I've seen a few PM's/comments on my decision of shipping Applejack with Tony Stark and I think I should make something clear...

I don't ship.

I'm not a shipper. At all. While I may sometimes favor one pairing over another, I'm not actually emotionally invested in it. I don't cheer if 'my ship' becomes canon. I don't 'rage' if the show 'sunks my ship' by forming pairs with other characters. The only reaction you'll get from me is either a raised eyebrow or a chuckle. Endgame, I don't care who gets with who. Whoever the show decides to put together is good enough to me.

So, if you see me 'ship' two characters on one of my fics, is because of one or more of the following reasons:

1) It Makes Sense: I feel that these characters would naturally be charmed/attracted to each other (or, if it's one-sided, one is attracted and the other is oblivious), so I write it so. It may never go beyond a brief infatuation, though.

2) It Moves The Plot/Characterization Forward: Sometimes, the addition of a romantic interest/subplot may open some interesting venues for the character and/or plot to pursue. It may also present me with many new opportunities for jokes.

3) It's Canon: As a writer, I tend to stick to canon as much as possible (which probably means that I don't get the point of Fan Fiction), so all canon relationships are respected and never ignored. Even if I decide to make a character who's already in an established canon relationship develop feelings for another character, I won't act like the canon relationship never existed nor will I downplay its importance to the characters involved (Unless it's funny for me to do so. See Item 4).

4) It's Funny: In the name of comedy, all bets are off! It doesn't matter if it's illogical, immoral, or out-of-character! If I can get a giggle out, odds are I'm gonna do it!

That being said, I'm having a great time teasing/mocking/hinting at all possible ships, and I plan to tease/mock/hint at many more in the following chapters! Stay tuned!

Lol. I once saw a fluttertree ship. It might have been the best thing ever.

Out of sheer curiosity, what's the rule each ship falls under?
