Audio Reading - Hearth's Warming Eve In Canterlot

At the beginning of November, I was asked by TyriusTheVA if it would be alright if he did an audio reading of one of my older stories, Hearth's Warming Eve In Canterlot for Christmas. I said yes, of course, it's been a long time since anyone has ever

    It Finally Happened

About six weeks ago, after months of Cerulean Voice telling me to submit my newest story 'What Is Lost, What Is Found' to Equestria Daily I finally caved in and did it. I made a submission and now weeks later after not so patiently waiting I got a response. What's the verdict? Well...

    Surprise!

This will probably come as a surprise to most of you, but in case you haven't already noticed I published a new story late last night. Well, it was late enough for me and Cerulean Voice. He had just spent his entire Saturday going through and thoroughly editing my story. Our deadline was 6.00 pm tonight, so I think it got done just in time.

New Story and Youtube Gaming Livestreams

Hey guys, sorry for the long period of silence. I would like to say I've been busy but since the coronavirus has forced everyone into self-isolation, I've mostly been playing video games (Kingdom Hearts and Animal Crossing New Horizons) and chilling at home.

These Heartbreak Times Chapter 3 Out Now!

I've finally updated These Heartbreak Times, only took me three months to write, rewrite, proofread and have it edited. I'm hoping it won't be this long between updates anymore. Part of the delay has been hiring another editor and the fact that I've had to fly home for my grandfather's funeral.

Upcoming Project · 10:21am Jun 3rd, 2015

So I've decided that my next story should be more personal, a little closer to home. Its one I've been meaning to tell for awhile but since its been nearly a year to the day, I thought now would be a good time to actually sit down and write it. More importantly, I'm tired of writing stories that I have no personal connection to. If I can't have an emotional connection with the characters, how could my readers?

I've learnt that I always write better stories when I'm writing raw emotion and I'm not so busy focusing on my grammar, prose or spelling. They say that the greatest state of the writer is when the words are not coming from you but through you. I think that this is something I would like to try and achieve.

For awhile now all of my stories have been pretty decent, nothing special but each time I was finished writing them I felt as though something was missing. I also noticed that my stories were getting shorter in length. The last three are all just over the 1k mark and I hope that I can write something a bit more meaningful than tea parties with lords of chaos or princesses baking cakes.

Without giving too much away, the story will be revolve around one of the mane six and will deal with a more internal struggle. An issue they can solve on their own. A lot of it will reflect events, characters and situations that have occurred in my own life however I will protect the identities of those persons.

I hope to begin writing it this evening, that is...when I finally get home.

I look forward to the late nights that shall expanse the realms of which this story will take place, and all the early morning rises that will follow.

Until next time,

Arcelia

Let your mind soar with the clouds.
