    Question

    Hello. It's cold where I am. Like COLD. Anywho . . .

Which story would you be most interested in my reviving/updating? I really can only work on one at a time.

    Sorry all

It's been too long since I've posted anything here. I apologize. Short explanation is that I have had a severe set back with my depression that caused me to go in partial hospitalization and quit my job. So I'm very much floating along until I can find something that works for me.

Weekly Update: Sorting out some stuff · 2:24am Jun 1st, 2015

So, first off, I want to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement following my last blog post. It's helped me tremendously and I'm hoping to take some of your advice to heart soon.

Real life situation, well, you can look at my last blog post for that. :twilightsheepish: Recently all I've had going on is work three days a week and that's about it. I anticipate I'll have plenty of time to write and be bored as usual. Part of me wants to work on my scrapbook project I've been putting off for like a year now, but another part says not to worry about it just yet. We'll see which side wins. XD

Anywho, yes, the news you really read these blogs for. Stories. I have a lot of information and updates, so stick with me.

First off, I have once again put Slow Fade on hiatus. This time it will be a long hiatus I'm afraid. There are several reasons, one being that I simply don't want to write CheesePie right now. Before you panic, yes, I still like the ship, I just don't have the drive to write a CheesePie story at the moment. I'm in one of those weird moods of mine where I pick something to obsess over and currently that's Twicord. Writing Slow Fade when I'm in this state is just begging for trouble. It deserves to be given the attention and care my other fics receive, and in my current state that's proving impossible. Also, my Twicord stories are immensely more popular than my CheesePie stories, and frankly I'm waaaay more into Twicord right now.

Moving on, Good Company. Originally I wanted this to by my personal effort written with my own ideas etc. etc. Well, I have changed that. In fact, TCARW's sequel has become that story. I've discovered that I'm so dang picky to where it goes that I just need to write it out my way. Good Company's only been going as good as it has because of my pre-reader/idea man NerfStranger. He gives a lot of his time helping me write up these chapters. So, thanks to his assistance and summer break, I'm anticipating these chapters will come out faster than you're used to. It's my current focus in terms of published stories.

Alright. Now to my baby, the TCARW series. Book 2, Lesson One (ironic I know) is in the works. However, unlike TCARW, I'm actually going to write up the entire story prior to publishing it. This is due in large part to my headcanon. As this is a headcanon driven series, I need to keep track of how the story needs to progress. If I'm getting comments on each chapter, I'll be tempted to change what I've already planned out. But, I CAN'T because the sequels need me to stay on target, particularly book three, Regarding Draconequus. So, rest assured I am working on it. However, it will not be posted until I have finished it completely.

If you're wondering what to expect from this next book I'll say this much. It will be similar to TCARW in that there will be slice of life, there will be some comedy, and there will be some difficult situations. It differs in the level and amount of dark subject matter and headcanon/alternate history. Let's just say what I've revealed in TCARW is but the tip of a rather substantial iceberg.

I have finished the prologue to my satisfaction and have officially commissioned some new cover art. My previous artist didn't respond, so we're getting a full color, traditional unicorn style cover. I'm as giddy as a school girl! I'll try and share it with you all when she's finished. [Squeees]

That's about it in terms of stories. Oh, if anyone wants to collab with me on a TrenderDash(yes, it's weird, get over it) one-shot , let me know. I have some fun ideas. :pinkiecrazy:

Bible passage of the week is from one of my favorite Old Testament stories:

9 Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and the expression of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. 20 And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21 Then these men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics,[e] their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace. 22 Because the king's order was urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25 He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire. 27 And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king's counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them. 28 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside[f] the king's command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore I make a decree: Any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be torn limb from limb, and their houses laid in ruins, for there is no other god who is able to rescue in this way.” 30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
