Daw, good seeing some redemption for Gilda! I liked how much of a run-down shithole Griffonstone was too. Naturally, it obliterates my backstory for Gilda, but yeah, I liked that she came from poverty, and had zero idea how to talk to other people. Always imagined G having no family or friends, and being very, very defensive from her childhood.

To this day 'Lullaby for a Princess' remains my favorite of every brony song. I don't listen to it as often as I do others, particularly Blackgryph0n, but the Lullaby has always managed to jerk my emotions. Not only was it well written, but extremely well performed. Adding this animation to the mix only fed the sorrow.
I particularly enjoyed how use of the music as 'sound effects' for certain elements - like the banishing of Princess Luna. The idea that Celestia got her rainbow hair from using the elements is an interesting idea too. The use of 'stained glass windows' was also a nice touch. If I am allowed a single point of criticism, it's that at times I felt Celestia's neck got a bit too long. However - my attention was never broken and I remained completely engaged/enthralled.
A very well done piece of animation! Those involved should be proud of their work! :D

Yeah, it is just full of nice, subtle little details that aren't superfluous and aren't distractions. They keep the focus right where it should be.
I also really liked the idea that Celestia used to Elements immediately, in defense, without having the time to agonize over the details.
