The Rainbow Rocks Shorts, and sneak at ep 100. · 4:59pm May 30th, 2015
As you all have probably figured it out already, today instead of a new episode, we were treated to a complete set of shorts based on Rainbow Rocks.
I have to say, it certainly is an absolute faboulus idea to have the shorts instead of a new episode. The only snag is that I kinda wish that Sunset's solo "My Past is Not Today" was also one of the shorts broadcasted. Ditto on a few others that were only able to see on YouTube and other media. But like I said, it was a minor snag; all of them were quite funny, and in my opinion were right on step with the others episodes and the movies. Certainly Hasbro Studios have a big pair of heels to step into, but I'm pretty confident with how they are gonna tackle it in the future. After all, the end where the actual EQ Twilight Sparkle is shown up is already making up salvivate for MLP Equestria Girls: The Friendship Games (obviously the title can change as more info is filled.
Also I'm estatic about how the cenntennial episode is gonna show. Sure it was just a pretty much two minute short, but it's definitely something to go on for the next two weeks. Remember, Episode 100 will view on June 13, same time as usual. Personally I kinda wished that it would be a hour long episode, or at least a two-parter. A short hiatus we can understand, but it makes us look like they are looking for hour-long episode. But it's cool to also see more continuity with Cranky and Mathilda getting married after being apart for so long.
And last but certainly not least, we finally get voices for some of our most beloved Background Ponies, including Octavia, and DERPY!!!!!
DERPY IS GONNA BE TALKING AGAIN!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! ***squeals****..........yeah, guys can squeal too. I'm getting a little teary eyed. And from what we just witnessed, great voice chosen. Take that, angry soccer moms!!! There isn't issue anymore, so stuff your objections in a place where the sun doesn't shine.
Anyway. voice your comments. Remember, the centennial is in 2 weeks, not one. Fandom, get ready and be prepared.
