    Holiday Bundle 2023 Playlist!

Happy holidays, everybody! I'm sorry I'm late for sharing this playlist of 12 videos that I've been working on since this fall! Although I did post them on YouTube for Christmas, I shared it only on X that day and not anywhere else. Shame on me.:facehoof: It includes videos centered around The Bad Guys, Kung Fu Panda, The Owl House, Netflix's The Monkey King, and more! I'm very

    #RewriteWish Fan Project

So, quite unexpectedly, I've launched a fan project to basically make a different version of Disney's latest film Wish. I haven't seen the film yet, but from what I gathered from the online reviews, it sounded very generic, two-toned, and pretty dissatisfying. When I discovered the concepts and ideas that were deleted from the movie, I wrote my own version of the story. Not knowing how to

    Survey for Definitive Disney Ranking

Hi! I wanted to share this survey with you all. In it, participants can rate the 60 Disney animated features by using the star system. The responses will help me compile a DEFINITIVE ranking of the films in the Disney Animated Canon. I created the survey because a lot of people have various films listed as their number one and I want to be as objective as I can. You can use the first link below

She's Baaaaack! My Review of "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone" · 8:21pm May 26th, 2015

Spoiler Alert! Do not continue on unless you’ve seen the episode/s! If you wish to continue, read at your own risk. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Hey, all! Welcome to another review of “My Little Pony”! In this review, I will cover "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone". As I have discussed before, I will lay out the standards of my reviews. If you just want to skip to the break below, feel free by all means. Here are my standards:
• How in-depth I will go into the episode will vary on the impression it made.
• I may refer to stuff almost related to the show. It depends on what I’m reminded of in the episode.
• Some of the references may be unknown to you guys, so I apologize in advance if anything confuses you. I will do my best to clarify what I mean.
• I will list the pros and cons of each episode and then sum it up.
• The last thing I will do is give the episode one or a mix of the following:
o A letter grade
o A percentage
o A number on a scale of one to ten
• I may skip over select episodes due to a low impression or personal reasons. My apologies in advance to anyone I might offend by skipping over an episode they like.
Please keep this in mind so I don’t have to worry about boring you.
Here’s my review of "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone"!

******

How many times do I have to change the title of a review?!
It’s getting to be annoying. Mostly, I pre-plan the review titles as soon as info’s released about future episodes. I would think that my title is going to be as it is, but when I watch the episode, hey, then I realize I need to change it! Have any of you felt this way? Thankfully, I’ve kept a few of the original titles that I came up with.
First off, I just want to say: guess who’s back? Surprise! It’s Gilda! Many people had been pleading for her return and it looks like they got their wish. To be honest, I had only speculated that she would return, only for it to be confirmed by a Facebook post accompanying a teaser for the episode.
I didn’t know all that much about Gilda because I hadn’t seen the episode “Griffon the Brush Off”. I stayed away from the episode for two reasons, both personal. I will only disclose one of the reasons, which is that I learned that Gilda acted jerky in the episode. The other reason is a bit private and embarrassing, I might add. Let’s just say that it’s something you might find odd. Despite not having seen the episode, however, I’ve seen only clips of it in spoofs and also some pictures.
My sister told me that she thought that Gilda was irredeemable, but I wasn’t so sure. I think the reason for that was that she didn’t seem very threatening to me. I also thought that since she was the kind of foe you’d find in regular life, maybe she would be redeemed. I also hadn’t seen her first episode, so that shaped my opinion about her. Thankfully, I was right that Gilda was going to change. I saw it coming, too.
The moment I knew Gilda was going to return, I hoped that this episode would be her redemption episode. I guess you could say I knew it was coming. That’s the predictable part of the “PYUP” principle; I’ll talk about the unpredictable part later. When I saw that Gilda had tears in her eyes, I knew that what I said in my previous review with Discord proved to be correct: the strong would break this season. I hope that stays true for the rest of the season.
I am surprised that the griffins are nothing like my favorite griffin (i.e. the Griffin from Quest for Camelot:pinkiehappy:). They are depicted as greedy and prideful, two of the traits that I detest. They also seem gruff, but are shown to be softies on occasion. I hope that Gilda will provide an example for them by establishing friendship. I believe that when shown with kindness and friendship, the griffins can really show their best colors.
I’m also surprised that Pinkie Pie was on the money about what problem to solve in Griffonstone. Never had I seen her so resolute in her beliefs while keeping her beloved nature. Rainbow Dash, on the other hand, was blinded by her grudge against Gilda and believed that retrieving the idol was what she and Pinkie were sent to Griffonstone for. She had good intentions, but she was going about it the wrong way. However, this set the stage for when Gilda proved herself by choosing the girls over the idol. I think we can thank Rainbow Dash for accidentally setting Gilda on the path she is on now.
One more thing to add before I list the pros and cons: the flashback scene where the idol gets stolen reminded me of Kung Fu Panda and the “Mickey and the Beanstalk” sequence from Fun and Fancy Free. I enjoyed that very much.
Pros: It was nice to see that Gilda redeemed herself. I admit that I wasn’t used to her because I didn’t see her first episode beforehand. Pinkie has her chance to shine in this episode. She knows how to improve the griffin scones, being the baker she is. I loved seeing Griffonstone. Though in shambles, it felt so exotic and new. Also, young Gilda was so cute!
Cons: I felt that I was behind on the history between Gilda and Rainbow on account of not seeing “Griffon the Brush Off”. The griffins acted mean and course. This was not something I expected to see in griffins. I had to change the review title again! Will it ever cease?!
In Summary: It didn’t impress me all that much, but it still had its good points. Next time when I plan on a review title, I’m going to make sure it’s flexible until I know for sure whether it’s appropriate or not.
My rating: 8
See you till the next episode!

Cool review Kid:ajsmug: Do u think you'll watch Griffon the Brush Off after watching this episode? Same here, despite Griffonstone being in shambles, I still loved seeing it because it was new and exotic. Plus, I like it when the show gets a little realistic and shows us that not everything can be perfect all the time. Plus, we can see Griffonstone slowly grown and fix itself up again. I also liked Gilda being redemed in such a fantastic and humble manner. Yes indeed, the strong will break this season. That's right Discord, I'm looking at you. Lol!;) I also still liked the Griffons despite their greedy and grumpy exterior because they have potential for good, like our Griffon from Quest from Camelot;) Plus, they're like dragons. They can be nice to others if they get past their greed and such. Have u seen my review yet?

Yes, I've seen your review. It's a very good review and I liked that you used a piece of artwork depicting Gilda as the Queen of Hearts. I debated using it myself, but I'm glad you showed it first. As for "Griffon the Brush Off", my sister wants me to watch it, so I might. I just don't know when.

Thanks for reading and liking my review, I deeply appreciate it:twilightsmile: Haha lol glad that you liked my Queen Gilda of Hearts segment, I thought it was funny too:rainbowkiss: I didn't know it existed till I google search Queen Gilda and then it showed up. It's funny that you were going to use it too, great minds think alike I guess;)
