I have a lot of unpublished stories. More than I have published. Do I post them, even though they're bad (they're unpublished for a reason), or do I let them remain unpublished?
Some people are morning birds, other people are night owls. Me? I'm some sort of permanently exhausted pigeon.

if you want to publish them, then do it
PUBLISH THEM ALL!!!!
3095414 I don't know if I want to, though. I wrote some of them for my own enjoyment, but some of them I wrote for the audience (so naturally, they suck. Writing comes from the heart, apparently).
Do you think I should just publish the ones that I wrote because I wanted to?
We can't tell if they're bad while they're hidden. Maybe you should let people you trust here take a look and get second opinions.
3095420 if you wanted to then do
3095426 Would you be up for the challenge of reading bad fanfiction written by 7th-grade me?
Or if that's too painful, would you give your opinion on some of the more recent stuff that I'm hesitant to publish?
3095447 anything. just PM me the links and I can guarantee I've seen worse.
As unhelpful as this may sound, I believe that is a decision that you should make for yourself...
really depends on what you got, for example i have about 6 or so incomplete works in progress and I have yet to really continue them.
what you should try is to look your work over and see what really comes to mind on it and one of the following might happen:
A. you publish what you already got.
B. Make edits to your story as you reread it (and possibly continue the idea)
C. if it looks to beat up error or content-wise, you should take it down and revise it.
or
D. if it looks like a figment of word vomit, then...well, set it aside and use it as a reference for future projects.
I don't really delete or throw anything I write away, if an idea goes cold during a project, i just set it aside and use it for references for other pieces or have it on the side if the idea comes back later on.
I currently have two unposted stories on here and one visible still a WIP with...um....five other projects still on work documents and double that in written composition books. It ain't easy to stick with an idea when it starts to come out, some times that is just your creativity dumping something onto a page which would lead to something better.
if you want I can look your stuff over and tell you my opinion on them
hope that helps
