Update.

So the story isn't finished, obviously. And to those who like it, I'm happy you do but I'm sorry to say I have some bad news.
I don't think I'll be finishing it, at least any time soon.
I'm going through a big rough patch with severe depression and I can't bring myself to write any more.
If anyone likes it so much that they want to finish it themselves, message me and I'll give you the A-OK.
If I don't message back within at least a month or two (I rarely get on here), well... Just go ahead. Do with it as you like!
