...Why does always capslock?
Anyway, whoever's reading this, you may have noticed a... slight change in Light by now. Only one person died, and they weren't even real. Their body and dignity were even left mostly intact, which is pretty abnormal for this. Usually when people die in Light, they die hard. But I have a plan now for a new arc. Something different. I'd like to say this arose from reading the tvtropes page for Crossed, with some bold realization about how I don't want to go to Garth Ennis' Really Bad Place (*shivers* NOT GRANDMA L'ANGELLE, MOMMY! MY EYES!) and that I don't want Light to be nonstop grimdark, but really, this came before. I've had chapter 9 written since like February. In some form or another.
This arc is going to be more lighthearted. Or at least, I can promise it'll start that way.
There will be blood and a disturbing boss fight at the end, yes, but this'll be balanced out with some moments that help Kraber unearth bits of himself that don't involve killing. There's gonna be more Avatar of Albion references, (I think it's fairly straightforward where this is all coming from) more dimensional fuckery, and also more animatronic-related death. Because I am going to use that clip of Purple Man dying whenever Gestalt broadcasts. God I love that clip. It's so messed up.
Also, Gestalt is important. Look out for her in future chapters.
