Many of you have probably either followed suit, not noticed, noticed and went,"Meh," and I can't blame you for any of those. I still watch each episode as it comes out, but ponies are anything but the life-defining force they were in the past. I'm not leaving because of the behavior of others, or because of real-life issues, just because I don't care enough. To clarify things, I'll be around to read some of my favorites as they update, but I won't be active for much else.
There have been several hints that I've stopped caring about this site, and MLP nearly as much as I did. I don't even give the front page and the feature box any real attention, I don't read any new stories, and I've only been on about once a week in the past month or two. I remember when I was online every day, probably spending at least an hour on this site. I was obsessed with this idea of writing a 'magnum opus' - a story that I would look back on as the one I tried the hardest on, with a plot to my liking - nothing stupidly random or for attention whoring, just something that I viewed as my best. I never finished any - the one I came the closest to was Blazing Muzzles which still stinks of mediocrity.
Oh and the Feature Box, how much luster it had. It didn't lose it all when it was locked to the front page, and I oh so wished to be there with something that wasn't random for the sake of it. But then, I began to get interested in other things. Pokemon, mainly Smogon's formats, sucked me in about a year ago, rapidly sapping my activity here.
By no means will I look back on this site in a negative light - I've met great people, awful, stubborn writers, and the latter isn't something that I can't look back and laugh at. I've had a great time here, but that time is gone.
