A Star vs. the Forces of Evil crossover

For Marco Diaz, there was a good amount of novelty in having a litter of laser-shooting puppies in the room while you munched on cheese nachos in front of the TV. There was also plenty of novelty in having a magical princess from another dimension who happened to create the said puppies next to you. But after repeating the process a few dozen or so times, he was up for most anything different.

For Star Butterfly, her mirror on the wall is a vital resource for communication with her parents, even if she has an uneasy relationship with her mother. Now, she wants a new service provider for her mirror—one that didn't enslave you to get you to pay off your debt if you showed up with the wrong payment form. Additionally, she was more or less equally bored. Thanks to Star's possession of dimensional scissors, they can easily seek to solve both problems.

Of course, it doesn't go quite the way they planned.

Takes place between Mewberty/Pixtopia and Lobster Claws/Sleep Spells excluding the Epilogue

Okay, this story's dose of random will be fairly confined to just how strange the subject matter is in general. I tried to create a story that made sense for you guys, and I can guarantee that I'll finish this - I already have.

1. Does EQG not exist in this version?
2. There must be a meeting of Pony heads. THERE MUUUUUUST!

Nice start, will keep an eye on it!

About time we had a proper crossover of this!

ill be keeping my eye on this

Weren't humans were so successful at destruction

Delete were

Anyway, hooray! Someone's writing this!

6311008 EqG is something that I simply skimped over, and I more or less referred back to the age old Tweet that EqG was not canon. Even if that's been taken back, I can do an ass pull and say that it occured right after Twilight's coronation, so yeah... Wait, that wouldn't work because the Friendship Kingdom Castle is in the story, so meh, just refer to the first. It won't be brought up, but I can do it in a sequel to explore that. Sadly, I've already finished the story and that's not happening yet. I can easily include that in the sequel though - it'll be hilarious.

6311009 Oh, thank you. I really didn't enjoy some of the other ones - they were trying but they weren't anything more than being readable - barely.

6311066 You'll be getting pretty regular updates on top of it, so I won't disappoint this time by never finishing it. I might be several hours late after the first 24 hours just to get the most optimal timezone, though.

6311272 Thank you for pointing that out, and while I would thank Seven81493, he wasn't particularly thorough some of the time and neither was I - ultimately its my fault for overlooking it because I did change it up a bit after I got it back.

*Sees name listed twice instead of Pizzaro's*

Ah, so this doesn't follow the Equestria Girls canon. Nice touch. :moustache:

Star and Marco are okay, but Twilight seems off

6312497 I do feel like she's a bit too neurotic here, and it does seem like it focuses a bit too much on her thoughts too much. To be honest, I really just kept her thoughts all over the place to show panic, but it probably does go somewhat overboard.

I probably got Star and Marco right because its not really hard to work with them especially considering that their personality still has plenty of room to grow.

That was actually really great ^_^
Though I am guessing you are one of the many that like to pretend that equestria girls is not canon and never happened XD
the whole "what are those? Ive never seen anything like that before"
still I really liked it. I look forward to seeing more chapters. Ill follow it so I can keep up on them ^_^

6313565 I actually was okay with the Equestria Girls movies, I just really found that leaving the ponies with no idea what humans were would be more interesting than giving them an idea and letting them sort out the differences. Or maybe I could pull a cop-out and write two sequels to form a trilogy of countless mind implosion proportions in of which the entire story is stuck in a never ending cycle.

6313573 Still, it was nice ^_^
I love it when crossovers are more or less two worlds collide, I hate crossovers that are literally melding two worlds together. Like fallout equestria.

Isn't Star's wand powered by unicorn magic ?

So doesn't this Dan fix made some sense in it all ?

6313951 It was never clarified in the show what Star's wand was powered by. Although I could make the two connections I would rather look at them as seperate subjects from seperate dimensions that function by seperate rules. Also, what do you precisely mean by 'dan fix'? My best guess is 'damn fix' or 'damn fic'. If its either, then trust me, I do sort of have an explanation later, although it will still retain some questions.

- It is run by a miniature unicorn that runs on a small treadmill inside the head, which opens up like a compact mirror.
When the wand has full power, the unicorn is healthy and full of energy, but when the wand runs low on power, the unicorn become thin and weak.

you know what. who cares. this is a star vs. story and i need more of that in my life. plz continue. but will you have Ludo or just use MLP villains?

6313987 Oh god, I forgot that, sorry 6313951. Regardless, I still consider the two to function differently. I always thought MLP unicorn magic usually functioning off spells more thought than said, and usually following a strict formula for optimal results with new spells only being created every once in a while. I always thought that they're different dimensions with different rules, and Star's wand currently seems to be able to conjure up spells on the fly with little to no effort - how close it is to what you intended is another matter. The reason I gave isn't attributed to the wand though, you'll see next chapter - tomorrow at around noon in North America.

Also, I'll be using Ludo - you'll see scenes with him starting chapter 3.

6313974

I am so sorry for my misspelling. What I meant was that since Star's wand is powered by Unicorn magic, then shouldn't this trip to Equestria make some sense in the terms of where the story is going.

I'm sorry for the confusion.

(Edit: FIRST COMMENT!!:yay:)

I was a bit late - I definitely was at my computer for the past few hours before this comment but I was busy queuing with friends in CS:GO. First match, other team surrendurred, the next, we won 16:8. Should compensate for the two losses in the past few days, probably actually gain elo since I did get quite a few MVP ribbons in those losses and they were all quite close. Now, back onto topic:

6319830 Like, Ludo's monsters were waiting for her - if that's what you were confused about.

6320349 Thank you, although the next one will predominantly be a fight scene and less exploration between characters. Meanwhile my mind is all the way head at the end of this trilogy with three sides arguing. One says I should make a red herring villian, the other says I should be happy with what I created and not try to make something what it isn't, while the last voice tells the others to shut up and wait for the season finale before proceeding.

6320434
No, it wasn't that, the ending was just that random:trollestia:

Bearicorn no. Lol. Just imagine his reaction to...ponies! Teehee. My Little Bearicon, a dork mutant to be. :pinkiehappy:

6321990 He's probably seen weirder stuff though.

Kinda sad that you didn't come up with new magical attacks for Star, but on the other hand, great fight scene.

6322673 I don't trust myself to do that kind of stuff. Realistically, she comes up with them on the fly but my brain simply cannot think in the right way to create a spell that sounds like it came out of her mouth.

6320434

"Additionally, she was a princess, and the implications of not handling her with caution could be extreme. Firstly, it meant no dissections or keeping them around for research - period."

Seriously?! Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, thinking on performing dissections on sapient beings?! :applejackconfused:

6323070 It was more or less something that came to mind - not something she'd do but something other ponies might do because Equestria isn't exactly a utopia even if it's better. I'll edit in 'of course she wouldn't do it but she couldn't let anypony else do it'.

Wait...Ludo and his army are still in Twi's lab! :pinkiegasp:

6322639
Yeah, but...hell, he seems to be only one who could fall for cute stuff. Remember 'Quest Buy'? XD

6324072 Yeah, now I do. I didn't while writing it, and it's a bit too late to turn back now though. Also, I believe Ludo did leave Twilight's lab:

Ludo's monsters began to groan, prompting a response from him.

"Get up!" he yelled, kicking Spikeballs, "Get up!"

Despite their internal bleeding, third degree burns, and arteries punctured by hearts and narwhals, they did as they were told. Ludo pulled out his dimensional scissors, opened them, and threw them up in the air. They easily sliced open a portal back to his dimension in their ascent, and dropped back in to Ludo's hand - by the blade. He gritted his teeth, refusing to give his adversaries the satisfaction of him yelping in pain and unceremoniously clipped them shut. His monsters trailed him, limping and groaning.

"I guess that saves me the trouble of having to evict them," Twilight said.

It is a bit ambigious toward the end though.

6324236
Okay. But heh, Spikeballs and Bearicorn and Lobster Claws are rather much the less bad monsters in Ludo's army, huh? ;)

There is a site called seventh sanctum that has an ambiguously magical spell generator. It also has many different generators to help with idea writing.

6324987

Yeah, that's why I described his gaze as more impassive. His nature's not nearly as threatening as his form.

6325114

Hm... I'll keep that in mind.

This is literally the only Star crossover on the site so far.

Nice work.

6476016 There are actually three that came before if I didn't miss any - one was taken down for a rewrite. The only other two crossovers are these: Probably the First, This One is Probably Dead

A little short, but expected; good story, but could have been better.

Twilight, who was too paralyzed with fear to move away was helpless to prevent Star from mounting on her.

Double checks the story's rating.

Omg the chapter names is the title song, yessssssssss:pinkiegasp::pinkiecrazy::trollestia:

Lyra gently lifted her hand with her right hoof, and stared at it with eyes full of awe. She gently brushed her magical touch over it, as if it were a precious artifact rather than a body part that saw regular use for almost every practical purpose. She used magic to bend the fingers, the sudden loss of control making Star even less comfortable. Gently, she let go, and continued staring in awe at it for a few more seconds.

Lyra is creepy
