    Jet Powered Cover Art

Hey everyone, I just wanted to do a shoutout about the new cover art for The Jet Powered Pegasus, designed by the very talented talented Novel Idea (who's done these for way more stories than I realised and I can't thank enough). Check it out below!

    March Story Madness

Hey everyone. First up sorry for the extended silence from me, work has been kicking me about and I may have bought XCOM, which I don't regret but man is it harsh on your free time. Remind me to share my pony themed team sometime  Anyway, to get back into the swing of things and to start finally fulfilling a promise to my Patreons I'm going to run a free story raffle. Usually this

    Transformations Story Contest!

Hey everyone! Great news for those of you looking for something of mine to read, one of the biggest groups on the site, Transformation, recently ran a short story contest and I was one of the entrants. Now, voting is ongoing and I'm under anonymity so I can't say which was mine, but they're all worth a look and there's a couple of real gems. Remember to vote for your favourites. :pinkiehappy:

    Better Late Than Never

Hey all. This blog post is a few days out of date as my evening have become a little too busy for me to really post to FiM. Anyway, I just wanted to share a piece of big news about Broken on the Wheel. As some of you may of noticed I was featured on EqD!

Celebration! · 9:46pm May 8th, 2015

Hi everyone, welcome to the party!

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who liked and favorited Humans Don’t Have Wings! This is my first big hit on FiM and I’d like to once again thank my pre-readers Thornwing, JCatt and Lord of Dorkness for their huge help in making this story as good as it is. For those of you who’ve got this message and Humans Don’t Have Wings is still sitting on a to read list, what are you waiting for? Get at it!

I’m also celebrating my 100th subscriber... which is what I would say if that number hadn’t been and gone in the course of this week :pinkiehappy:. I’m not going to bore anyone with the stats unnecessarily :twistnerd:, but if anyone’s wondering how big an effect sitting in the feature box for a few days can have on your views, then look no further. This week has doubled my previous hit record, and that includes one week when I got an EqD feature.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be pulling together a retrospective on the story. What I feel went wrong, what went right, and what bits could have done with polish. This one’s been more than a little controversial, which was not unexpected as the misanthropy is a really hot topic in this community. A few things have come back that have surprised me however and I’d like to address those properly, when I’ve had the chance to step back and look at things objectively.

Anyway, that’s in the future, for now another huge thank you and welcome to one and all for my new subscribers. Now, I’ve got to go put my serious face on.

This one’s been more than a little controversial, which was not unexpected as the misandry is a really hot topic in this community.

I think the word you were thinking of was misanthropy. Misandry is the hatred of men as a gender rather than a species.

Unless I missed a whole lot of subtext in that story. And misread the community completely.

3055598 Good catch, serves me right for doing this so late at night :facehoof:

Ah, late night writing. The source of so many hilarious mistakes!

Glad to help. Was a nice story to work on.

You have any plans on showing the first version, though?

I guess it must be a grand shock when I'm the one that proposed most of the cuts and changes, but I prefer the finished version. :pinkiegasp: Still, might be a few interested in seeing the '1.0' version given what a splash Wings have been doing lately.

3055622 Hmm, I'm not sure I saved a 1.0 copy, but that certainly is something to talk about. People might be interested in how focus can shift over the course of writing even a fairly short story like this.

Might be rather tedious to get it 'right,' but Gdocs have a rather extensive fold-back function for edits.

I'd save a copy first, just in case, but that might be an option worth exploring.
