MissKoi reviews "Appleloosa's Most Adorable" · 6:02pm May 2nd, 2015

When Equestria Daily announced the synopsis for this episode, I wasn't hyped or excited for this episode. I thought it was going to be one of CMC episodes that just make you go MEH:/ I thought it was going to be just a boring episode before the BIG one...that's right! I'm talking about episode 7 aka the soon to be Fluttercord episode! But I'll talk about my major, major, crazy, unhealthy hype for that episode when I review, but for now...Let's talk about the episode that defied my expectations:D That's right, I'm talking about this one!
I surprisingly enjoyed "Appleloosa's Most Wanted"

(Ah! Her cuteness! It's too much! It's tooooo much!:o)
The reasons why I liked this episode was because the surprising amount of good jokes in it, the CMC's role in the problem, and the new S5 character we're introduced to.
It may not been as funny as last week's episodes, but it had a great amount of clever jokes in it. (No surprise there, I mean, it's Polvsky. He's always puts in funny stuff in his episodes. Yay Dave Polvsky!) Probably my favorite joke was when the sheriff pony first mentions Trouble Shoes' name and harmonica music plays in the background. But then it turns out that it was a rodeo clown that was playing the harmonica music. Haha I just cracked up when I saw that! Also, the mob jokes were funny too:)
The one thing I really didn't like about this episode was that the CMC, especially Apple Bloom, seem so immature and back to their season one selves in this episode. So obsessed over their cutie marks and doing whatever it took to get them. Luckily, they were only trying to get their cutiemarks in the rodeo activities, not in catching criminals. Which this is all a shame since they were so mature and growing as characters compared to "Apple and Gloom" and in season 4 in their episodes. I know that getting their cutiemarks is a goal, but they should have just been themselves and enjoyed watching the rodeo and everything. However, they redeemed themselves when they helped transformed the supposed "villain" of the story into a friend.

Hearts ! Hearts everywhere!
The CMC not only use the cutie mark theme of this season and put a new spin on it, but they also defined a new dimension to their Cutie Mark Crusaders club.

Not only could they be on the mission on helping themselves and other find cutie marks, but they can also ponies with cutie mark problems. I know that Twilight and the others are going to do something like this season by traveling to different places, but the CMC can help. They can be like the sub division of Twilight's Friendship Council! Yes! Make it happen!
Alright, let's talk about my favorite part of this episode...TROUBLE SHOES! OH MY GOODNESS they finally did it! They finally put Eeyore in this show!

Eeyore is my favorite Winnie the Pooh character, and I love him so much.
I thought that the staff would never put in a eeyore character, especially after my hopes were dashed when Cranky Doodle premiered in "Friend in Deed". Don't get me wrong, I love Cranky but he wasn't the eeyore character I was expecting. He was more like the old man from Disney's "Up."
Not only did they give us a clumsy, western version of Eeyore, but they also a Clydesdale. A full on, gentle giant, Clydesdale! Twice as big as Big Mac!

Finally! Don't get me wrong, I love Big Mac but he's only a half Clydesdale pony, while Trouble Shoes is full Clydesdale no doubt about it:D I love heavy draft horses and gentle giants, so when I saw Trouble Shoes...I was like...

(In a Southern Belle voice) Be still my gentle giant loving heart!
So yeah, Trouble Shoes is my second favorite S5 character. Which means that Party Favor is on top, but Double Diamond is third on my list.

Sorry Double Diamond, it's not you...it's me.
Anywho, I'm surprised that there wasn't a song in this episode. Shoot! That was on my S5 running gags list!
Song in every episode: uncheck
Pancakes in every episode: uncheck (because of Tanks for the Memories)
Well, I can still check off cutie marks theme and the tone of slice of life/adventure my list.

Overall, this episode gets nine hearts out of ten! Yay!
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to wait for sneak peek clips of episode 7 like a normal little Fluttercord fangirl.

I already wrote my review and my thoughts, but this review is just as good.

I am so excited for next episode. It does remind me of a certain fanfic. :)
