So I've been a brony for about a year and a half now. It's kind of funny how all it took was a single clip from Luna Eclipsed, and I was hooked. Thanks to a friend who I played World of Warcraft with, I discovered a part of me I never knew existed. I came into the brony community and immediately felt like this is where I belonged. A whole new landscape lay before me, and with it would come a whole new community of people to call my friends. You guys rock!
If I ever got the chance to, there's a song I would sing to express my wonder at finding such a wonderful new place to be a part of. From the soundtrack to one of my favorite films, here's Imogen Heap's "I Can't Take It In."
I'm always interested in "How I came to the fandom" stories.
3008450 If I ever got the chance to go to Equestria, I know for a fact that this song is how I'd react to the ponies and their world. I would certainly sing this song for them.
3008450 What's your brony awakening story?
Ah, about one and a half weeks for me, I think. I'm not sure if that earns me the brony badge..
3008531 The first time I ever heard of "bronies" was during the infamous Fox News report. I swiftly forgot about them. A few years later, by the powers of YouTube Recommended Videos, I saw a certain Cupcakes reading. I became interested, watched the show, and had my ridiculously low expectations blown out of the water.
3009091 That one clip I mentioned in the blog was Fluttershy giving Luna speech lessons. After that, there was no stopping it.
Luna Eclipsed was the first episode that I watched that led me into this wonderful community.
Great song choice, BTW. I'm a huge Imogen Heap fan and she's absolutely amazing and innovative at what she does.
