New fic Summary! · 1:53am Jul 15th, 2012
Hello again everyone! Thank you for the comments regarding my new Celestia fic. I am happy to say things are still going well. I am going to be reviewing what I have of chapter 1 before I continue with it. I want to make sure the beginning is to my liking. When you have a fic with potential, you don't want to blow it right off the bat.
In the meantime I have written a story summary and am posting it in this blog. Hopefully it will be enough to whet your appetites. I may wait to post until I have two chapters written, so it can better give you all an idea of where the story is going...that is unless chapter 1 gets the ball rolling well enough. Also I still need to pic a title for this story. I have it narrowed down, but am still considering some possibilities.
For now I leave you with the story summary:
Princess Celestia has been responsible for the care and well being of Equestria for countless centuries. The ponies all across the land love and respect her, or at least that's what she thought. Now, what began, as a series of vicious rumors has been proven true. More and more the princess discovered that a growing number of her subjects do not truly love and admire her. In fact many find her cold, rigid and overly strict. Of course this couldn't be further from the truth. But the sway in their opinions begins to weigh heavily on Celestia's mind. It begins to make her heart weep when she learns that a number of her subjects only befriend her for the status it brings them. While there are many who truly love and adore Celestia, she is still greatly disturbed by this new development. It only further adds to another of her woes. During this emotional crisis, she realizes that even being surrounding by ponies, just how lonely she has been. It's been too long since she had a special somepony to turn to.
In her distressed state, she convinces her sister Luna that all she needs is some time off, when in fact Celestia just wants to get away from everything. After making some minor preparations, she leaves Canterlot. The princess remembers the crumbled ruins of the human settlement and journeys there. It's her hope to make use of the once sealed gateway to Earth. A strong yen to get away from Equestria, after dealing with its welfare for so many years, takes hold of her. Since she can't find what she seeks in her own world, it's her hopes that maybe she can find it somewhere else.
Following her arrival on Earth, Celestia observes just how much the human world has changed in the 2,000 years since humans last lived in her world. Her search for solace eventually leads to her to the home of a human man, in his early 30's, but just what will she find once she reveals herself to him? And how will meeting this human change her life forever?

Throwing a twist are we? Instead of a HiE, it's a EoE (Equestrian on Earth). This will be interesting to read.
The summary alone already has me hooked on this. Especially with the new appreciation i'm feeling towards Celestia XD

That's sort of what I'm hoping for. And well, many readers seemed to love Chapter 2 & 3 of my Luna fic, while she and David were on Earth. And you must admit there are more HiE fics constantly popping up than fics involving ponies coming to earth (that aren't crossovers).

I didn't think it was an original idea, but it was nice to think that it was for a moment. But it's going to be a magical gateway. It's explained in chapter 1. There's even a few paragraphs with back story explaining humans having once been in Equestria.

I'm working on it as we speak. I'm almost done with chapter 1. But I will of course need to edit it and proof read. But it should be around 5,000 words, give of take a few hundred. I'm doing shorter chapters, so updates won't take as long. Right now I am planning on posting this sometime tomorrow, if all goes well.
EDIT: I'm nearly done with chapter 1, but I may not post this as soon as expected. I want to give this the same care as my other fics. So I want to review this and make sure it's the way I want it before I submit it.

Yep, you're close, but the location won't be the Everfree Castle. You will have to wait and read. I could probably finish work on chapter 1 tonight, but I have to go in early for work. But I have some vacation coming up next week, so I should a good deal of time to work on this then. And of course I should have some time tomorrow evening as well.
This is gonna be really good I can read it now...So FlutterShy what do you think?

Thank you for the vote of confidence and enthusiasm. Sorry I didn't comment sooner, the site was loading very slow and I had major trouble getting on last night.
A comment for the rest:
I'm going to be posting a new blog entry highlighting a major update for this new story. I can tell you all a little something about it right now. I'm pushing back the posting date, because I wanted to take my time with Celestia's first encounter with the human she meets. But after last night, I am definitely on the right track. Tonight I will be announcing the story's title, and since posting is still a few days off, I will be posting the first 1500 words or so of Chapter 1 to keep your all hungry for more, and to tide you over till I post the beginning of the story. I may wait till I have Chapter 2 either started or completed to post this! Still mulling that over. But I can assure you, the wait will be worth it.
This story has so many possibilities, I can hardly wait to start working on them. Well, I'm off to sleep now, but when I get up late this after, I will get back to writing and prepping the sample for you awesome fans!
