Yeesh, I really fell behind with this update thing, but I might as well post here.

I'll start with the other updates.

Work is getting less of a pain, I work 4 days a week now which is somewhat concerning since my funds will be dropping off a bit but thankfully I'm learnign some measure of self control and money management. Not much but it's a start. My shifts are dropping to 4 a week because now we have three new guys who can cover extra shifts and I'm not a full timer, despite what my schedule has been like for the past year.

I saw the announcements for Season 3, as usual I'm apprehensive. Twilight's actually failing at something or maybe just thinking she failed looks interesting but hope it's not another "crazy" episode, the tone doesn't seem to fit that. I wonder what kind of test she was given and maybe it will involve Trixie? On that note, Trixie herself reappearing is a bit concern for me since I plan to use Trixie in Alicorn Gundam and if she's in the show and her charater or personality is vastly different, or worse yet she is part of the supporting cast from now on, well that' shit cans any chance of me using her, heck even if she's arrogant it will force me to re-write since her personality won't fit my portrayal of her and it will get worse if everypony hates her guts and, ugg why did they have to include her in an episode this jstu screws all my chances to use her! The Crystal Ponies and Cadance is mentioned... this has me more concerned with the changing mythology of the series though I am interested to see what the Crystal Ponies are, maybe this is a season premier and relates to the last finale but that's just idle speculation. Fluttershy turning into a dragon, I really hope it's a botched spell or a spell in general and not a "revised origin" even if that would be cool. Octavia maybe having a singing/speaking role, could be interseting but forgive me if I just hope her "duet" is her just playing her cello with Rarity singing, if she does have a voice I kinda hope it's British like in the recordings of the Vinyl Scratch Tapes. As much as I like Friendship is Magic I'm not used to the shows I watch and write fanfiction about changing so much or having such a locked down continuity that I'm afriad of upsetting when my stuff is finally published here. Now I know why some bronies liek writing AU stories or stories with all OC casts, cuts back on the fandom changing effects.

Started watching One Piece again, it's how I decided to read Pultron's Hundred Bits. I'm up to Enies Lobby and Nami's fight with Kalifa. No I won't elaborate beacuse it would take too long and if you don't know what that is either you only watch the dub or you don't like One Piece enough to care.

After watching One Piece I dug up an old story I was working on before I became a brony, it's a Care Bears fanfiction called Care Bear Magi that still exists on my DA and FF.net account. I read it over and I realized that because the framework is so detached from the settings of the original Care Bears cartoons that I could easily retool it into an original story in an original setting with non-copywrited characters. I have a basic framework but it's going to take some time.

I got the Metal Slug Anthology on my PSP, beat it in a couple days but it was fun and I'll probably pick it up whenever I need a good dose of action.

So...Started playing Final Fantasy VIII on my PSP today, gotta say it doesn't feel like a classic as much as the others do. FF IX is still my favorite (but yes I conceded that FF VI is a better game, objectively speaking, I just prefer IX) and VIII feels so slow to start, and the starting plot is complex already and I'm barely an hour in. You're training to be a mercenary called a SeeD which are people that can summong monsters called Guardian Forces and use "para-magic" which is like magic but not natural, yeah I don't get it either, and already there's a war going on. The combat system is wierd and irritating that I have to keep "drawing" magic from enemies and junctioning them to get stronger, not to mention that from what I've read, enemies level up with you so combat never gets easier and leveling up is a relatively minor thing. I'm mostly determined to get through this game before I play IX again and to get my money's worth out of this game, maybe it will get better later but every other Final Fantasy (other than 1 but I can excuse that becasue it was the first) started with soem relatively major event or at least something to draw me in right away, this just feel slow and despite the pretty graphics (for it's time at least) I'm not convinced.

OK enough delaying, time for what you all want to hear.

Equestria Century Alicorn Gundam chapter 1 is almost finished. I've gotten it written but I want to submit it to ED so I'm going through the complex editing process. Several of my friends have looked at it and I have a Training Grounds guy about to do his take, however I'm not sure I want him to look at it, paranoia about how it might say everything is wrong and not just a couple thing despite my massive revisions and edits that I've made since then. I can't say when it will be out but if the Training Grounds reviewer for Ponychan doesn't say anything soo I'll have to contact him to see if he is still going to edit it.
