It was bc of this site i started writing Fanfiction. I discobered the joys of writing and I started writing more and more.

Review: All in a Day's Work · 11:09am Apr 15th, 2015

All in a Day's Work

Wilfred Xavier Manning is an exemplary clerk. However, he is somewhat less qualified to deliver invitations. Especially when the recipients are six of the strangest girls he has ever met. Such a minor detail means nothing to a man with Wilfred's sense of duty, yet still waters run deep. There is more to each girl than there appears, and if Wilfred is brave enough, there may be more to him as well.

Now, this is an interesting story. When I first came across it, I think there was 1 or 2 chapters, and I was very sad to see it come to an end when the 4th and final chapter was posted in January this year.

I kind of forgot a bit about the story after it came to an end, but a few days ago I suddenly was hit by an urge to review it, so I started to search for it, not remembering the name. Today I finally found it through that I suddenly remembered the name and could search for it.

About the story:
This is a great story. A bit weird, yes, but great none the less. When the main character, Wilfred, first set out on the journey to deliver these messages, he didn't know what it would lead to or what to expect, and neither did the reader. Many writers, me included, have a habit of writing their stories in such a way that the reader is always one step ahead of the main character, as is the general way of presenting a story to the reader.

What make this story special is that the reader is not one step ahead of the main character. Admittedly, the reader probably have it easier pros seeing everything that happen than poor Wilfred, as they're more positive and open minded, but we still do not know more than the main character do.

This story is good at twisting and turning mostly everything until the reader stop trying to straighten it out and just go with the flow. It got interesting characters and settings, beautiful, mystic settings and tear filled good byes.

For those who think they have read one story too much, and think they have seen everything, this is a great change. You set out on the journey knowing nothing, just like the main character, and in the end, when you know everything, you walk away feeling satisfied with what you got.

So, before I end this review blog, I just have one more thing to comment on concerning the story: The tags. This story is tagged comedy and human. While I can see the point in the tags, there is other, additional tags, that might would have been good to add. However, I can also see why these additional tags have been excluded, as adding them would have risked spoiling the experience for the reader.

All in all, I really think you should read "All in a Day's Work", and to make it easier for you lazy people who don't want to go back to the top, here is the link again: All in a Day's Work
