So my (constantly evolving) plan is to put out periodic updates (hopefully at least once a week), informing the few who follow these fallow blogs of the state of progress in regards to the current chapter, and what not.
In that vein, I'm rather happy to report that the next chapter is already started, and is progressing rather nicely. As a reference, I'll share that it's normally at least two weeks (or more) before I start on a new chapter, so this (to me at least) is a step in the correct direction. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to share details or hint about content in these blog posts, but suffice it to say (well don't I sound fancy) that the plan is for the plot to progress significantly in chapter 6. Then again, no plan survives first contact with the enemy. So I'll temper my earlier statement by saying that I intend for the plot to make a noticeable surge. Whether the story allows me to do that is another question.
In any case I'd like to thank everyone for your continued support and patience, and of course for reading. If not for the lot of you, this story would be minus three chapters and still residing solely on my hard drive. Cheers!
Awesome, glad to hear your muse is at least partially cooperative, and not abandoning you

Yeah, the story is all pretty much there, I just need to change how I approach my writing. I figure if I can touch on it every day (or almost everyday), even if it's just an hour of editing, then it keeps everything from settling to the bottom (if that makes any sense). That, and things like periodic updates, will help keep me from getting complacent or lazy.
