Well, the prologue and first chapter are out, and I'll be honest, it was received a lot more warmly then I really expected it to be. Looks like it hit the feature box twice (that I'm aware of. I know it was, then wasn't, and now it's in there again as of this writing), and a lot of folks seem to be pretty excited about it. So yeah, I guess I'll keep doing it.
As before, thank you all for reading and the constructive comments. Like, you have all helped me quite a bit. I didn't start out with a lot of confidence in this thing, especially insofar as the tonal shifts and departure from a purely (or mostly) slice-of-life direction. Hell, even the frame work of 'they're all adults now, so how do you do that?' gave me a bit of a panic sweat.
But the reception has been better than I actually hoped for, so again, thank you all.
You've got skill for this sort of thing, the first and second fic have been absolutely phenomenal, you should have some pride in them.
