Sharing the Night: Chapter 14 Author's Notes · 1:58am Mar 27th, 2015
And here we finally have the reveal which I thought that I was going to end chapter twelve with. I really hope the pacing works out somehow. I think, of all the different parts of writing, pacing is one of the things that comes least naturally to me. It's probably okay, though, since prereader response was good.
In any case, this chapter should make it clear just how… transitionary the previous chapter was. Chapter thirteen was sort of… half an epilogue for the middle arc of the story, and half setup for the third arc, which we sort of kick off here. I'm positive that there's a better way I could have done it, perhaps cutting it in half and combining it with the chapters on each side of it, but… I honestly don't know. I don't think the flashback chapter could have sustained anything more weighing down its end, so… it is what it is.
For the record, this didn't take three months to write. Followers of the Twitter account I've been posing obligatory updates to will know that I took a break in January to write 10k words in a Changeling Twilight story that I decided not to post or continue with, so… that's my excuse, anyway.

Why did I not read this before? I think I forgot about it, with me having to catch up with other things...
Quite enjoyed the last update.
You know, Sharing the Night has been running long enough, I can't remember, was it one of your posts that pointed me to this video? It's one of my favorites and seems relevant to your interests:
