Show MUST Go On!: A round closed story, or can it have a follow up? · 5:19am Mar 21st, 2015

Well, the thing is that, since Show MUST Go On! is around my favorite character, it was kinda inevitable that I would write more stories about Trixie. Also, because its open end, it can work as a prequel for both Mare-Do-Well Strikes!, Once upon a time, during a holy night or My Deadly Shot: Trixie is Lethal, since none of them contradicts the events of Show MUST Go On!.

In other words, with Show MUST Go On! I inadvertently wrote my base for both, past and future Trixie's stories. In other words, every Trixie story I write can and will be in some way or another a possible follow-up for Show MUST Go On!.

For example, if after leaving that cafe in canterlot, Trixie goes to Manehatten and becomes a journalist's assistant, she then will end in Ponyville as Mare-Do-Well's Jimmy Olsen. If she retakes her traveling show and crosses the dessert in Chrismass eve, she will meet pony Jesus. And if she goes to Las Pegasus, she will become the deadliest hitmare active in Equestria.

But.

What if I happened to have THE real follow-up?

Recently, I entered another contest, smaller than the previous one. One of those "1k words prompt in five days", with the theme of history as the first prompt. What I wrote was really close to Show MUST Go On!'s style and thematic, even with a similar narrative, so it could really work as both, canon and spiritual successor.

So, what do you guys think? Should Show MUST Go On! have an actual follow-up? or it works better as a self-contained story?
