Milestone: One Month · 4:18am Mar 21st, 2015
Well, it's been a month since I started working on this, now would be the perfect time to look back and reflect. Before reflecting on whether I made my initial goal, it would be best to first to figure out my original goal and motivate.
Which is hard to remember, what exactly was I think when I started on this project? It's like I was overcame with a sudden bout of insanity, what on earth was I thinking anyway? Probably wasn't thinking at all. Why start a project when the setting it's based on is hating by half of the people. It's like NASA trying to launch Apollo 11 in the middle of American Civil War. There's not really going to be much help from either side.
But I'm getting off topic, how this project came to be matters not, insanity or alien mind control, it matters not. The only thing that matters is the project. So, in celebration of this once in a lifetime event (because this project will never be 1 month old ever again, unless you time travel), I'm listing a list of goal and tick them off when I reach them.
Goals:
[ ] Name the project.
[x] Create basic GUI.
[x] Release first alpha.
[x] Set down the frameworks.
[x] Finish coding event.
[x] Finish coding location.
[x] Finish coding player and items system.
[x] Finish coding skill.
[ ] Finish coding map and random dungeon generation.
[x] Write more than 10 event.
[x] Get help from others.
[ ] Write more than 100 event.
[x] Write more than 10 location.
[ ] Create 20 item.
[ ] Save and load system made.
[ ] Release second alpha that actually have some content.
[ ] Get fan art.
[ ] Release third alpha.
[ ] Get more than ten thousand download.
[ ] Slip a virus in the game
[ ] Take over the world.
[ ] Finish designing the whole SDK.
[ ] Write SDK.
[ ] Release SDK for eager fans that want to mod the game.
Edit: Quick question, which hand of yours is busy when reading mature stories?
Quick name suggestion: Corruption of Eques/Equestria.

I'll consider it, although I think it's sounds too much like a CoC ripoff.
2896413 That's fine that was precisely what I was going for with that one. You might want to make a blog or group post where you see what other people would name it.

Will probably do it along with the next release, since release post would gather people's attention better.
Although, I'm not sure when would be a good time to release another version, I'm afraid all those incomplete version's going to drive people away.

Don't worry about an incomplete version that just means that you are actually working on the game to most people. I personally am waiting a little bit so that I have a fuller picture of what the final product will be when I actually start playing it. However I am sure some people are playing it already, and just enjoy seeing what you do with it. Honestly I would be more scared if you didn't post updates every week or so.
I think you might want to find a better place to host it though I don't know if FIMfic's moderators have anything against a game like this; so it might be wise to find a more permeate place where you own the site. You could even try Fenoxo's site. Shoot him an e-mail to see if you can post the game there or if he only does it for friends.

I'm going to use blogger for development blog for the time being. Probably going to go guerrilla warfare on a few different forum and site to gather attention when the game's large enough. Sticking to one main site isn't good unless there's enough fan willing to register a account, so it's probably going to be using other forum and one main blog for the time being.
Try a play on words for a name by using the original CoC name. As long as you don't use the original, you would be fine.
I'm thinking Corruption of Mares, since the whole world is already gone. Mostly. Like CoC
So hows your day been?

Doing fairly well, at long last I fixed the bug concerning dungeon generation. All I need is to finish coding the map.
