Chapter the Fifth, A/N and what not. · 3:48am Jul 9th, 2012
Well it's up, and if you are one of the (very) small minority who for some reason reads my blog posts on here, then you know that I delivered on my promised deadline. Unless you live elsewhere in the world, in which case that's what you get for not living in the same hemisphere as me.
To make up for the long span between the last update and this one, I made this chapter super-extra-wordy for your reading enjoyment. Think of it as choc-o-late for the eyes (bonus points if you recognize that reference). That's only partly true, by the way. The word count on this one just sort of crept up on me, and when I finally noticed that it had passed the 6k mark, I just sort of shrugged my shoulders, lit a smoke, and went for it.
As far as content goes, there's not a whole lot of plot progression in this chapter, but I felt it was sort of important to get some back story about Ryan and his past in there, sort of illuminate a few details that haven't really been expanded on. Hopefully it's still a pretty enjoyable read. As far as polish goes, this chapter doesn't have as much on it as I'd like, so I'll probably be coming back and editing it obsessively over the next week or two. No major changes, just a little spit and a pass with a rag.
And finally, I'd like to thank all of you for being as patient and supportive as you have been. Things are still moving and shaking in my personal life, but I'm going to try a different approach when it comes to spinning words into electrons that will hopefully knock down the wait times between releases. That's all I got. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some Talapia in the oven that needs my TLC. Thanks for reading, you guys are awesome.

I've sort of settled down on that. Between editing everything for EqD, trying to work on this chapter, and the regular day to day crap, I wasn't spending the amount of time writing that I wanted to. I'd still like to get it posted there, and I'll probably take another stab at making that happen, but it's become less important to me than working on the story.
