The Master has gone walking with Mort · 7:27pm Mar 12th, 2015

Terry "Sir Pterry" Pratchett is dead. My wife has read the entire Discworld canon, as well as the non-fiction companions (Science of Discworld, etc.). I even printed and bound for her the unpublished and rare short stories Pratchett released. It's a sad day for great literature.

Speaking of Pratchett's rare short stories - if you haven't read them, here are links to his shorter Discworld works, all of which you can read online. They were eventually collected into the anthology A Blink of the Screen, but his official website has hosted them all publicly at various points. It's all the tribute I can muster at the moment. Enjoy!

"Troll Bridge"
"Theatre of Cruelty"
"The Sea and Little Fishes"
"Death and What Comes Next"
"A Collegiate Casting-Out of Devilish Devices"

Trivia: Terry Pratchett loved PC gaming, especially where fan-made mods were concerned. So much so that, given his love for Skyrim and the Companion Vilja mod, he contacted the mod's author and offered to help write Vilja's dialogue.
