    A quick update

So, I'm aware I haven't really been keeping up with my own schedule. I'm not going to make excuses. I've gotten lazy, and this fresh batch of videogames that've come out recently really aren't helping with that. I'm aware many of you have said that I should take all the time I need, but it's a matter of personal dedication for me, and I've been slacking.

    Interlude 2 is out

So, this one took forever, but hey, it's done! About time, too. Believe me, this delay was all on me guys and gals. I don't know what it was about this one, but it just didn't click with me the way the first interlude did, and I was getting it done at a snail's pace at best. We're talking entire days going by with me getting maybe a sentence or two done and that's it.

    Exercise

So I began exercising again. Not just because someone close to me suggested it, but also because a sedentary lifestyle like mine isn't so good for me, so I need to do something to stay in shape. I had forgotten the ache of a genuine workout. I used to be able to do so much more than this when I was in Taekwondo. Then again, I was also a whole lot younger back then too. Maybe that has

    Do you ever feel guilty?

When you have established a schedule for yourself, and your own laziness or inability to focus causes you to fall away from it, do you ever feel guilty as a writer? I know I do.

Working on Chapter 3 · 11:59pm Oct 8th, 2011

Heya there everyone, just a little update from Fire Soul here!

I'm currently working on Chapter 3 and putting myself through the wringer with it, this being my first attempt at a published fanfic and all that. You see, I always thought conveying emotions was my weakest point in any kind of writing, but apparently some people have said otherwise. So, I'm still going with my style of writing, but now things aren't just going to be centered around Twilight, and that's where the complications are arising: I have to now balance the psyches and personalities of all of the cast members from the show, along with anyone else that might show up over the course of the story chapters.

That being said, all of the reviews and responses have been wonderful, I'm in love with this little project, I really am. I never thought I'd get a response like this, it makes me feel really good about myself, in ways that I haven't felt for years. I haven't done enough writing in my life it seems, because if I'd known there were ways to get my skills evaluated while also doing something that everyone would enjoy, I would've tried my hand at fanfiction years ago.

You see, this is my first honest-to-goodness large-scale writing project of any sort, most things I've written have been for school, or just between myself and old friends, little two-page things that don't really amount to anything and usually don't have much to do with anything. The inspiration for this project itself was actually a friend of mine, and every bit of this writing for 'Taming the Rage' comes from the heart, and a lot of Twilight's psychological trauma she's going through right now, it's all based on personal experience, so this is a lot like me finding a way to vent it all. Thankfully, these characters are very colorful, very dynamic, and have excellent personalities that I can work with throughout the whole thing, so I've got a lot to do, but at the same time a lot of stuff to work with to really bring this story to life.

I hope this project keeps everyone's interest, and I hope everyone continues to enjoy it!

P.S.: I've heard rumors that an interview with Faust said that Nightmare Moon wasn't created by Luna, but by some kind of universal entity? If that's the case, I TOTALLY CALLED IT. :D But at the same time, now my idea for another writing project I wanted to publish on here has been swiped. That makes me a conflicted, and sad brony. :(

Haha! Glad to know your enjoying writing it as much as we 'the readers' enjoy reading it  "I think I can speak for atleast a portion of the readers"

Writing truely is a great outlet to vent isn't it? Balancing the charactors is difficult but your doing a good job of it so far, so I'm sure you can keep doing it.

Ha I thought that Nightmare Moon was a different type of entity but I believe what you said is true. Same issue with the writing project for me, gotta rethink everything :fluttercry: Keep up the good work! Thanks for the update on the writing, nice to get status updates.
