Many Thanks, Things to Come, and an Introduction. · 8:18pm Jul 7th, 2012
Chapter 2 of "A Canterlot Courtship" posted yesterday, and to this point, the feedback has been marvelous. Really, fillies and gentlecolts, I can't thank you enough!
So I'm taking a day or two, enjoying the... lovely climate of the southeastern U.S. (last I checked, the heat index outside was around 115 degrees F.) and considering what to do next. Probably going to pick back up working on "ACC" sometime next week. I think I'm leaning to keeping the chapters long, so I can't give a firm idea of a posting date just yet. In the meantime, I might just work on that "Macintosh getting his band back together" idea I mentioned last post, which I'm tentatively titling "Pony Rock Opera." I'm considering trying my (feeble) skills at sketching as I mull that one over... if I get any pics done that don't embarrass me too badly, I'll share them with you. And if there are any metal fans out there that have gags or ideas they wish to see in that story, feel free to shout them at me. I can't guarantee I'll use them, but I will read them. What I can say is the band does have a line-up consisting of all background ponies (except Mac, I don't think he can be considered BG at this point.) Incidentally, I will also say that Mac's one of the band's guitarists and principle songwriters.
And don't ask me how ponies play guitar. If Octavia can play cello with hooves...er, look, just accept it, it'll be fun.
And lastly, if any of you ever read in the Teen Titans cartoon fandom over on Fanfiction.net, you might be familiar with the author CalliopeMused. She is an amazingly talented writer, and I've been privileged to call her a close friend for some years now. And now... she's discovered ponies! (I... may have had something to do with that....)
