The Legend of Twilight

A thought for a story has been brewing in my head for a while now, and now that I know I can write fairly well, I'd like to try it out. A Legend of Zelda crossover story. But not just any crossover.... It's one were the main 6 are the sages, Celestia and Luna the goddesses, and Big Mac... Yes! Big Mac, as link! It could follow any Zelda based game and work well enough, and the best part is that no one has done this type of story before. So I won't be called out for copying, or it just being another cliché story. The two games I'd like to follow with it would be a mix of Ocarina of time, Twilight Princess, and A Link to the past.
I think I may have stumbled onto something here! I may even start working on this idea as soon as I can. But don't worry, anypony who is reading my Colt from the stars story will be happy to know I won't cancel that story while working on this idea. I just may put it on the back burner. Let me know what you think and throw me ideas you'd like to see in a Zelda based MLP story.
