Anniversaries, Updates, and Ships

So around this time three years ago is when I first started calling myself a brony. The exact date I'm not sure of but I remember that it was a day or two after the Season Two episode "Hearts and Hooves Day". I had been watching the show since November of 2011 but had been unaware of bronies until early February of 2012.

At the time I thought, "Hmm...this fandom is actually pretty neat. It probably won't last long though." I figure I'd be in the fandom for a year, maybe a year and a half.

Boy was I wrong.

Now I tell myself that I'll stay in the fandom for as long as I can see more good than bad. I may be here for a while.

Change of subject now.

So it was in an earlier post that I said I wanted to release something in February. Unfortunately my university life has dictated that I put that on hiatus. I realized that I'm just going to have to focus on my university work and working on the To House Sirens sequel.

Speaking of...

At the moment work on the sequel is going at a snails pace. My goal is to finish writing it by the end of February and release it hopefully by the end of March. If all that goes according to plan then I'll probably wait until I finish my current semester to start writing the second sequel story.

One more change of subject.

Ships and shipping is something I generally avoided when I first joined this fandom. The whole idea just seemed weird to me in general. Over time I grew more tolerant of it. Now I do generally enjoy shipping.

Why?

I could honestly write a whole term paper as to why but I got enough stuff to write this semester and I don't want to bore you more than I probably already am. So instead i'm going to talk a little about another one of my favorite ships. SunFlash.

Why do I like this ship? Honestly, I think it stems from my love of power couples. What is a power couple? The best way to explain it is two characters that are superior or think they are they are superior to others and are romantically involved. Other examples of this would be Kirito and Asuna from Sword Art Online as well as Shining Armor and Princess Cadance.

How are Flash and Sunset a power couple? When Sunset was dating Flash I had this head canon that they were like the King and Queen of Canterlot High. Also, you ever notice how both seem to wear somewhat similar jackets? I also have this other head canon that it was actually Flash who taught Sunset how to play the guitar.

I could list off more things but I think I've already taken enough of your time if you read this much. So I'll just stop here.
