My Philosophy on Fan Fiction · 9:02am Feb 2nd, 2015
Since I am in a writing mood tonight I figure I would just give my thoughts on fan fiction in general.
I do not take fanfiction very seriously myself. There is ALOT of it out there. It ranges so much that nothing surprises me anymore when I come across. I've read a fan fic with a ponified Trevor Phillips from GTA V (Which was gory as hell but glorious) and a fic with the Equestria Girls playing Cards Against Humanity (gloriously hilarious, should reread that one sometime).
Obviously since I am here I do some writing myself. I am not going to advertise it as the next best thing since sliced bread or anything like that. While I do put effort into figuring out how I want the story to turn out I know that I am not immune to criticism. Personally. I just write it for fun. And I put it out there in the hopes that someone will enjoy reading it. Even if there is only ONE person in the entire fandom who enjoys my work. I'm a happy guy.
If you like my work, great. ^^ If not, eh, to each their own. I don't blame ya for your tastes.
I would just say try not to take anything too seriously. Cause otherwise you'll find yourself drowning in the sea of crap rather than basking in the light of the gems you can find.
