Spent yesterday (and probably will spend some of today) digging a massive trench around my house. YAR I BE MAKIN' A MOAT!
No, really, trenches. Trenches for Fences, actually (though I'd prefer the moat). I HATE the summer, man. It means my dad is off work for 2 months (not a bad thing in and of itself), which means I essentially become little more than a source of free labor. All the things that needed to get done during the year (painting, putting in new sprinkler heads, MOVING THE ENTIRE SPRINKLER PIPE-SYSTEM) instead get done in the two months of summer, which are the hottest days in this hellish state. Not that it would be much cooler elsewhere, but here the heat just never lets up.
YAR, I STILL BE WANTING THAT MOAT.

I live in Florida.
It's pretty even with most states during the summer, sure, but our summer doesn't end till freaking NOVEMBER. More than half the year is hot and muggy beyond comprehension down here.

Same here, definitely rather be cold than hot. If you're cold you can throw on another layer, but if you're hot there's only so much you can take off before people start calling the cops.
