Getting rejected from EQD · 2:16am Jan 28th, 2015
Well, one of my big hopes is to get on EQD one day. Sadly it looks like today will not be that day. I've tossed my story, "A Ship Fic Too Far" up there twice now, and they finally gave me a response. They have decided not to feature it. The response was two part. Part of it was due to errors they claim are in the first paragraph. That's something I can change to meet their criteria. The second issue is that they claim they get too many stories like mine to justify it. That I can not change. Bit upsetting but I guess that's just how the cookie crumbles. Its frustrating but I cant let this get me down. I've got a few more stories that are much more original (though I think less funny and less fun to read) that I'll be completing once I'm out of my depressed funk. There is an up side to this. Knowing this at least now I know that I can stop tinkering with it and leave it be. I'm honestly happy with it now as it is and knowing theres no way to make them happy, at least I can just let it stand on its own the way I like it.
