Remember that cancelled story I said I was picking up? Well, it's here. Riiiiight here to be exact.
LightningBass94 is doing edits for me (actually it's more like a collab right now), and we've changed quite a bit of the first chapter so far. The premise is the same, just... more descripty, and show-rather-that-tell-y. I'm proud of what we've done so far.

The Bearers of the Elements of Harmony failed to stop Sombra in time from getting into the Crystal Empire and acquiring the Crystal Heart. Now the Crystal Empire is ruled over by a tyrannical unicorn, that will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Equestria is on the brink of war, and the only ones who can stop the evil king of the Crystal Empire, are six mares. Those six mares are the Element Bearers, but can they use the elements while one of their own is missing and in fact within their enemy's grasp?

After we rewrite the second chapter (where the original story left off), we plan on continuing with our own ideas of the story. Some of the premise will follow what the original author wanted, but it will largely be our ideas as well.

2725323 Unfortunately, yes. I'm not even sure why anymore. I like the idea of "what could have been".
2725340 Me too! Honestly I often go a little farther down the road; I generally take canon with a grain of salt. I mean, I don't change canon events without deliberately doing so or without reason, but... wait, shit, where was I going with that sentence? Oh well. Anyway, yeah, it's unfortunate that people feel a need to adhere to the "canon" events, and even more so when they get mad at other people for not doing so.
