I write like.... · 7:52pm Jun 29th, 2012

This is a web page that apparently analyzes your writing style.
I tried a chapter of one unpublished story (working title: "Griffons and Magic and Nightmares, oh my!" ...yeah, it needs work, doesn't it? I was always bad with names...) and it gave me the result J R R Tolkien.
This, of course, made me feel really good about myself.
Then, I decided to try a chapter of Fluttershy the Hunter.
The result was Stephanie Meyer.
This, of course, killed all of my writing enthusiasm for the rest of the day.
But some faith in myself was restored when I tried a chapter of another work in progress, "Luna's Existential Crisis". I got J K Rowling.
So I'm not sure if I'm getting trolled here, and it's not actually analyzing my stuff; or if I'm just random enough that it thinks I write like three different people.
Either way, I'm sure I have something better and more productive to do. Right?
...right?
I wonder how they get these results and how reliable they are.
At least it's pretty consistent for me: After three tries, it always gave me "William Shakespeare", one of my greatest inspirations
That was a weird site. For the first and third chapters of Special Talents I got Neil Gaiman, and for the second chapter I got Chuck Palahniuk.
Yeah... it was weird.
