    2018 Resolution

A few hours early, but I figured I would write this while I have some free time instead of squeezing it in when I don't.

    Holiday Story Dec 2016

2 years ago today, I wrote a story called Cold Outside. It didn't get much reception, but I still read it sometimes for the feels. I was looking at it again, seeing as the holidays were coming up, and I wanted to write a follow up part. Last year I wrote some human holiday thing that didn't end up very well. I wanted to delete that story because it didn't feel like a story. I hadn't, mostly

Alright, Short Review as well as my new years resolution. Not many people read these, but I like making them anyways.

First, the idea to make this story came about an hour before I finished it. I didn't feel like making a christmas story, but then I had the urge to update before the end of the year. I decided a short story would do. As for the plot and story idea... I messaged my editor over in Equestria and he said I wanted to do a tragedy of the sort. He gave me this elaborate idea and I was about to do it... And then I realized it's not in the christmas spirit, so I saved the idea in my folder of wonders and tried again. His idea gave me a different idea, however, and i forged a Sweetiebelle story from his um.. special story.
Next, The story pretty much wrote itself after I decided on who the main character was and the fact I wanted to honor Hearth's Warming Eve. It was a little bumpy during the part with the parents, but I made it work...ish. Another reason why I could write it in about an hour, was the fact that I listened to some cheery christmas songs written by the mlp fandom, and I have to say it helped set the mood for me. More on this later.
Finally, I feel like I executed the story well enough, how ever I noticed that it could use more detail (A problem I tend to have... a lot.) and that it was a little random for my liking. There was no real story plot (heh) but just reading it to read it is good enough for me. The story didn't get much views, and I'm alright with that, as long as those who read it enjoyed it. I guess it would have helped if I wrote it a few days earlier, but oh well. I like to thank those who read the story and hope they enjoyed it.

Now for New Years...
Thank you both readers and writers, I enjoy the fandom so much more than before I found FimFiction. This year there's been a lot of stories that I've really enjoyed and I hope to make the next year a more productive year on my part. My new years resolution is to type and post more, as well as update my older stories more. I plan to finish editing eventually so I can continue what I've already started.

Thanks for Reading!
