My first serious fic is finally out · 5:27pm Dec 21st, 2014
Whew, after three months of work, I'm finally releasing the first chapter of A Dream of Sunny Days, my first serious fanfic. While I've written short stories and tabletop campaigns in the past, this is by far my most serious and ambitious writing project.
Rather then do author notes, I'm going to use this blog to talk about behind the scene stuff, inspirations or any other random thoughts I have surrounding the story. For starters, I should give the fic a bit of an introduction. It's an idea that's been going around my head for about six months before I sat down and decided to give it a shot. One of the key inspirations is "A Song of Ice and Fire" (the Game of Thrones books). People who have read those books might recognize the various POV character chapter structure. Telling this kind of story with ponies is proving to be really fun so far.
I do have a few chapters ready and would like to release one per week at first. This will slow down eventually, as a lot of work goes into each chapter and I prefer giving each the attention and effort it deserves rather then rush things. Releases are also dependent on my editor and my proofreaders who have their own lives and jobs to worry about. I'm definitely dedicated to getting the story done and while I expect the entire thing will take between a year to a year and a half to write, I think it's worth it. I have the entire story already planned out and separated into chapters, for a total of 33 chapters, not counting the prologue and epilogue.
Finally, I wanna thank everyone who takes the time to read the story. Feel free to post in in any groups you want, the more people see it the better.
